Hey, everyone! Roree here with another Make It! Monday project. Today I am sharing a card I created using corrugated cardboard and my Cricut Explore machine.

There are only a handful of materials I have yet to figure out how get solid, clean cuts with using my Cricut. Try as I might, corrugated cardboard is one of them, so here is my work around for that.

First, I started off with a sheet of corrugated cardboard, a Cricut mat, and my Cricut Explore machine.

I placed the corrugated cardboard upside down on the mat before inserting it into my Cricut Explore machine. I then chose a basic heart shape in Cricut Design Space and cut the heart on a light material (vinyl) setting .

The cut went through primarily on the backside of the cardboard.

I then trimmed the piece down to a more manageable size and fussy cut the heart with scissors.

It was quick and easy to finish the cut and since it didn’t involve intricate cutting, it is a work around that I can live with.

I finished by embellishing the heart and adding it to a card I created using Echo Park Paper Co.‘s The Story of Our Family collection.
