Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started scrapbooking: Hi, I’m Becki Adams! I’m a stay at home/working mom of three amazing kids. I spend my days being mom. I do my best to make magic happen between photos and storytelling. I am a designer, blogger, memory keeper, teacher, writer, a scrapbooker, and a family historian, although I feel my most important title is that of Mom. Clear back when I was in High School I was given the assignment to create a scrapbook by a Home Economics teacher. I created that scrapbook and as you can say, “the rest is history!” I was hooked! I found the online scrapbooking world and started creating scrapbooking layouts when my first son was born 13 years ago. Memory keeping is a way of life for me and my passion. I love spending my time recording the everyday memories of my family. I’m thrilled to currently be designing for Carta Bella Paper and Pebbles, Inc. You can find all my work on my blog at BeckiAdams.com.

Favorite thing to scrap: Everyday moments. I love to record the cute things my kids say and the small precious moments that we have as a family.

What do you love about scrapbooking? I love being creative and documenting my family’s memories. Being creative with photos and memories is a match made in heaven for me.

5 fun facts about yourself:
1. I took my first ride on an airplane when I was 27 years old
2. Thrift stores and flea markets make my heart flutter. I love finding the perfect vintage books, dishes, and home décor.
3. Mice terrify me; really, I’m so scared of them!
4. Even though I grew up on a potato farm, as an adult, I don’t eat potatoes.
5. Watching old sitcoms on Netflix is my guilty pleasure. It was like a holiday for me when Friends was released on Netflix.

Here is Becki’s fabulous Scrapbook Expo exclusive layout:

One of my favorite ways to design is with a grid. This layout features an off set grid with lots of bold colors and elements. This layout came straight from my heart and I love how it turned out.

And here are four of Becki’s favorite layouts that show her signature style:

Back to school is one of my favorite times of year. I love documenting milestones in my children’s education.

I want my kids to hear memories of my childhood. When I find books from my childhood at the thrift stores I always buy them. This layout documents books that I remember reading as a child.

I created this layout for a blog post on my blog about being inspired by Pinterest. The design of this layout made me step out of my comfort zone and it’s now one of my very favorite layouts.

Combining products from different manufacturers is one of my favorite things to do. I love combining little bits and pieces that aren’t meant to go together into beautiful pieces of art that document memories. This layout features products from Gossamer Blue, Crate Paper, Jillibean Soup, Heidi Swapp, and American Crafts.

I’d like to thank Becki for allowing me to feature her! See you again next week with a spotlight on another fabulous scrapbooker!
