Happy Saturday, my friends. Let’s stay out of the heat and create some fun and wonderful projects. Today I hope you will be inspired and want to take some time to relax and enjoy the projects I have to share with you. It is the time of year to kick back and enjoy life!
Summer is the time to make many wonderful memories whether it is at the beach, swimming pool, or even at a family reunion. Take the time to create a spot for your cherished moments in this fabulous mini album to document your favorite summer memories.
You can almost picture your toes in the sand with this fabulous mini album. The album was made by using Wooden Files from Crafty Secrets. Adding layers of paint, stencils, and crackle medium to the wooden cover will create it’s own personality. Let’s get started by clicking here where Kathy will give full step-by-step instructions, along with several tips that will be very useful in your crafting. Kathy is the queen of mini albums so be sure to visit her blog Kathy by Design. You will be over-the-top in love with her projects!
There are so many things that attracted me to this beautiful shabby chic card. I love the pretty pink tones, combined with the gorgeous background papers from Maja Design. What’s not to love about this gorgeous card; it is so soft with such a feminine touch. The photo is priceless and gives the card a perfect finishing touch! Jennie really added the perfect details to create her fabulous card.
Jennie’s card has layers and layers, scruffy edges with stitching, and to top it off she used muslin, flowers, buttons, pins, and ribbon. Click here and I will take you over to Jennie’s blog “Live The Dream” where you are sure to leave totally inspired to start your next project.
This bright bold background adds a lot of techniques and imagination to Kathy’s card and I love the beautiful colors. Using a bold dark background is a great way to give drama and impact to your cards.
I would like to take you over to Kathy’s blog The Daily Marker where you will learn some wonderful techniques. You can also find a wonderful tutorial on YouTube of the 30-day coloring challenge HERE. This is such an eye-catching card – I bet you can’t wait to get started creating your own!
Do you have an old table in your home that needs an uplift? Today I want to share a fun project so you can enjoy and utilize that piece of furniture again. A stenciled table is an easy way to add a style that will really stand out in your room. You can create your own stencil, or use the fun stencil French Poem Allover.
You will be able to bring life to that table just by using a can of paint and a stencil. To complete the look, Taylor painted the legs of the table in the same dark brown hue, and then brushed on a gold metallic creme. Adding a natural wax for the final step gives the table some protection. Click here and we will jump on over to Stencil & Stories. Taylor will give you all of the materials needed, along with some directions how to make your beautiful table in just a very short time.
Yum… what could be more tasty than a shortbread base cookie with a chewy caramel center and drizzled chocolate? These fabulous little treats are fun and easy to make, not to mention the smiles you will receive after they get eaten!
Come with me and I will take you over to The Recipe Critic where you will find all the ingredients and directions from Alyssa. You won’t be disappointed with these yummy little treats. Fun for showers, birthday parties, summer parties, and the list goes on. There is no way you won’t love these! 🙂
Thank you for stopping by on this warm summer day. Enjoy your weekend, and I will see you back next Saturday!
