Freebie Friday with Jen Walker

Hello Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends! As scrapbookers, we tend to be social people who like to share our love of preserving our memories as well as our time shopping and learning together. We record our exciting moments and share them for all to see. The Stamp & Scrapbook EXPO team hosts about 20 shows a year and are always thrilled to see you share photos of your time spent at the EXPO.

Many of these photos are shared in our various Facebook groups and on Instagram. We ask our friends to use the hashtags #SSBE2016 and #SSBECrop so we can easily find your awesome photos as we LOVE to see you enjoying yourself at the EXPOs.

Recently, a suggestion was made in the Somerset EXPO group to create badges so that as everyone walked the show floor, they would be able to recognize other members from the Facebook group. The badges that were created were all individual works of art! As group members saw the other badges they stopped to take photos together, smiled across booths and felt a warmth from being a part of this special community.

If you are on Facebook, the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo groups for each show are a great place to visit. Local consumers can chat with each other, exhibitors and EXPO staff prior to the show about EXPO related topics and then they also have a wonderful community of like minded friends throughout the year. I hope you will join us!

This week I thought it would be fun to give away a Stamp & Scrapbook t-shirt! Would you like to win one for yourself? Available in black or white, this t-shirt will make you think of the EXPO every time you where it! Here is a photo of the t-shirts and the lovely Betty!

I took a very long break from making cards and scrapbooking, about 18 months. It was pretty rough because my mom took I’ll and never recovered. We lost her 1 year ago June. While talking to my sister, she told me to help get out of the low I was in, I needed to go back and do what I enjoy. So I saw you where coming to Chantilly and the rest his history. I came, I learned, I spent….Boy did I spend. Had a blast. Now I’m in full blown card making and scrapbooking. Thank you for being at the right place at the right time. Hope to see you next year

  40. Kim of Colorado Springs, CO says:

My sister and I went to the Denver Expo…..we were so thrilled with our purchases and with the make and takes. Evidently we forgot to buy our t-shirts! By the time I could get time off work approved the Hyatt was sold out for Santa Clara. And now the same thing with Sacramento. There needs to be more rooms blocked off. For those coming from out of town and who won’t have a car a hotel within walking distance is an essential. Not everybody can book months in advance.

I love going to Scrapbook Expo. Every year I say I’m not going because I have everything I need, NOT. Every year I end up going and having a good time. I love the cropping area at the end of the day. I can finish what I’ve learn in class. Until next year from Schaumburg,IL

  73. Sharyn Childs says:

Another Scrapbook T-shirt…..YES, that’s what I need. I already think I’m a Scrapbook Expo billboard. (I tell everyone I meet in craft stores about the Expo if they haven’t heard of it.)
