Sundays With Lorraine

Sundays-with-Lorraine

Hello my crafty friends and welcome back to Weekly Scrapper! I’m so happy that you were able to join us for some creative therapy.

She Is My Everything designed by Laura Vegas

While spending some quality time on the Bella Blvd blog I discovered that each month they have a free step-by-step project sheet. January’s project sheet includes a complete supply list and instructions to recreate this adorable 12 x 12 layout. I love how they used the new Bella Bows to create a fun border; so sweet.

Did I mention that you can even have the project sheets delivered to your inbox each month? Click here and I will take you over so you can join in on the fun. Free inspiration delivered right to your inbox! Happy scrapping, my friends.

Love designed by Mona Pendleton

This beautiful card designed by the very talented Mona Pendleton is a perfect example of creating the perfect card that comes together quickly. Don’t you just love the soft water colored background and how it complements the beautiful embossed heart? Who wouldn’t feel the love after receiving this treasure in the mail?

If you hop on over to Mona’s blog Cupcakes Creations you can see how easily this sweet card comes together. I’d like to send out a big hug to Mona for sharing the love and inspiration.

A Time For All Seasons by Judy Rozema

Have you been bitten by the coloring bug? 😉 With everyone coming out with their own versions of adult coloring books and all the amazing coloring mediums out there, it’s almost impossible not to. The beautiful flower on this sweet card caught my eye and I was instantly inspired to want to color my own. Judy used Koi paints to color the flower but you can use whatever you have on hand such as colored pencils, Gelatos, markers etc. Coloring is a real stress reliever, so grab something to color and let the therapy begin!

Stamps are a great way to create your own images to color and use in your paper crafting. If you have fallen in love with this gorgeous mum, stamp, and sentiment (Autumn Mum Greetings Clear Stamp Set) click here and I will lead the way over to the Sweet N Sassy Stamp site so you can pick up your own set. I recommend using an archival ink so your stamped images don’t smear while you are coloring with different mediums. Have fun creating your own custom embellishment! Thanks, Judy, for being such an inspiration. To see more of Judy’s designs, be sure to stop by her blog Joy In A Jar. You’re sure to leave ready to start that next project.

Decoupaged Photo Tray designed by Natasha Dickens

Here’s a very fun idea for Valentine’s Day. How about breakfast in bed served on this adorable tray? Who wouldn’t feel the love when breakfast is served to them in bed? I can’t think of a better way to start the day. Photos are a great way to personalize all kinds of gifts, like Natasha did on this sweet decoupaged photo tray. Don’t you love it when you walk into your craft room and come out with a handmade gift?

Decoupaged Photo Tray

Wouldn’t this be a great gift for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or even Grandparents Day? How cute would it be for the kids to make their own creation to give as a gift? This project is so easy even the little ones would enjoy it. You’re just a few supplies away from making an adorable keepsake that will be treasured for years to come. Click here and I’ll take you over to the Love The Country Blog so you can print out the supply list. Thanks to Natashia for sharing this great idea!

KUNG PAO CHICKEN

Kung Pao Chicken is one of my favorite things to order at our local Chinese restaurant but it’s often a bit too spicy for my wimpy palette. One of the benefits of making this dish at home is you are in control of how spicy you want it to be. You can also switch up the veggies to include your family favorites. This one’s a keeper, so click here and I will be happy to escort you over to the Gimme Some Oven so you can print out the recipe.

KUNG PAO CHICKEN

I’d like to send out a big thank you to Ali for sharing this tasty version of Kung Pao Chicken. Would you believe that you can have dinner on the table in less than half an hour? Quick, healthy, and delicious, “ya gotta love it”! I highly recommend stopping by the Gimme Some Oven blog. Ali really has taken the guess work out of preparing a healthy and delicious meal that you and your family are sure to enjoy.

Thanks for stopping by; have a great week and I’ll see you next Sunday. I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine’s Day surrounded by those you love.
