Latest & Greatest: Card Making with We R Memory Keepers

Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Make It! Monday post.

Our next show is this week in Edison, NJ on August 11th-12th. Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching three “Latest & Greatest” workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, and Stamping. We have lots of great products from some awesome manufacturers in these classes, and today I am going to be working with products from our Card Making workshop: We R Memory KeepersRolling Penny Card Die Set.

This is such a fun die set and you can make some really awesome interactive cards with it. With it, I created this card:

I wanted to create a fun little scene, so I cut some extra shapes using my Cricut Explore® machine and Cricut Design Space™. I cut a frame from the “The First Few Years” cartridge and the dog in a plane from the “Just a Note” cartridge.

I cut out a slider shape on a panel of cardstock using the straight slider die from the set. I then decorated the panel with a frame and cloud die cuts.

I flipped the panel over placing the dog in a plane die cut underneath. I added foam adhesive to the body of the plane and two pennies on each foam square.

(I decided to use two pennies because the die cut was so long.)

After placing more foam adhesive behind the die cut panel, I attached another solid panel in the same color to the back.

I then placed a sentiment sticker on the bottom panel between the top and bottom edges of the slider die cut at the back of the plane.

I added the image to a card. The image slides from the left to the right to reveal my message.

The possibilities for these rolling penny cards are endless!

This Latest & Greatest: Stamping workshop featuring We R Memory Keepers’ Rolling Penny Card Dies will also be taught at our upcoming show in Schaumburg. We would love to see you there!

I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
