Latest & Greatest: Stamping with Sunny Studio Stamps

Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Make It! Monday post.

In case you don’t already know, Stamp & Scrapbook Expo’s first show of 2017 is about to start this week in Pleasanton, California. If you are in the Northern California area and have a chance to come see us, you should. There will lots of great shopping, cropping, and learning going on!

Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching three “Latest & Greatest” workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, and Stamping. We have lots of great products from some awesome manufacturers in these classes, and today I am going to be working with one from our Stamping workshop: Sunny Studio StampsFriends & Family stamp set.

With it, I created this card:

I wanted to create a little bit of “texture” on my card without adding any bulk, so I decided to stamp it on. I started with some smooth white cardstock, a scrap piece of textured cardstock, the tulip stamp from the Friends & Family stamp set, and some ink from We R Memory KeepersMini Ink Pads 6 pc set.

I inked the stamp and stamped it once onto the scrap piece of textured cardstock.

This left the impression of the cardstock texture on the stamp.

I then stamped the image onto the smooth white cardstock. It gave me the look of texture without the added dimension.

I repeated this step multiple times in two different colors to create my “textured” garden.

This Stamping Workshop featuring Sunny Studio Stamps’ Friends & Family stamps set will also be taught at our shows in Grapevine TX, Anaheim CA, Milwaukee WI, Orlando FL, and Puyallup WA. We hope you can come join us at one of these shows. We would love to see you there!

I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
