Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all of my wonderful friends and crafters!  I hope today you will be inspired to begin a new project and find wonderful inspiration from our Weekly Scrapper posts.  I love sharing Saturdays with you, and hope these projects will take you out of your comfort zone to try new things.  Remember – creativity involves in breaking out of your traditional style; never hesitate to try something new!

Music Fuels The Soul By Dana Tater

Sometimes simple becomes your favorite layout.  The gorgeous Pion Papers made in Sweden have a lovely and unique design, with a romantic and vintage feel.  I love the versatility of this sweet new collection “Where The Roses Grow” by Pion Design.  Who wouldn’t fall in love with this stunning layout?

This is also the perfect collection to be used for either a girl or boy.  The combination of a vintage feel, along with muted pastels, and wood grain patterned paper are not too overwhelming to use for a masculine photo.  Let’s pop on over to Pion Designs where you will find all the products you will need to create this beautiful layout.  Thank you, Dana, for sharing your wonderful talent with us.

Happy New Year By Laura Bassen

Don’t be afraid to pull out your distress inks and do some coloring on watercolor cardstock. You don’t have to be a professional painter to create a watercolor masterpiece.  You can make coloring so much fun, and it is so easy to do.  If you have watercolor pencils they are also wonderful to use as well.

Happy New Year

Laura began her card using watercolor cardstock.  She then stamped and embossed the feather image Adore You from Altenew Stamps.  Now for your creative nudge – if you haven’t already been watercoloring, take the plunge and dive in!  You will be surprised how easy and fun it is to do.  I am sure you will be amazed at your own talent with watercoloring!  Let me take you on over to Double Stick Heaven where you will see more amazing projects from Laura.  Have fun creating your own style!

Paper Feather Backdrop By Lia Griffith

Have you ever made paper feathers?  They are so versatile and always beautiful, not to mention how fun they are to create.  Add a little shimmer to yours by adding a little gold dipped effect using a gold leaf pen.  You can create a feather wall hanging, backdrop, or even a garland.  Hang from a branch and you can also create a perfect backdrop for a birthday, a wedding, or just a fun wall hanging to brighten up a bare wall.
