Sundays With Lorraine

Hello, my crafty friends, and welcome back to Weekly Scrapper! Today’s post is the 2nd in a series of four where I will be sharing a peek of what you will be making in the Creativity Center at Stamp & Scrapbook Expo. I hope you’re as excited as I am because we have a great line-up this season and there is definitely something for everyone. We give you the chance to use fabulous products to create some great projects. How often do you get to play with the toys before you buy them? It’s a wonderful thing, so be sure to stop by and join the fun!

Craft Fancy

Let’s start out with this adorable project sponsored by Craft Fancy. Don’t you love it when you can use your scrapbooking supplies to create a fun home decor piece? During this make & take we’ll be doing a little stenciling on a dishtowel using a fun stencil by VVVVVVV. Can’t you see this darling towel hanging in your kitchen or as part of a hostess gift? Come join the fun as we create this adorable (and did I mention free!) make & take. 😉

For those lucky enough to be in the Chicago area, CraftFancy is a paper crafting store that features an amazing selection of scrapbooking and rubber stamping products. They also have monthly crops and classes for all levels of crafters! These days it is hard to find a good scrapbook store so when we find one we need to support them, so stop by and join in on some of those fun and educational workshops either at the store or at Stamp & Scrapbook Expo.

Melissa Frances

Melissa Frances is the queen of all that is shabby chic and I am so excited to have her as one of our sponsors in the Creativity Center. Her timeless, vintage-inspired design really speaks to many crafters. Melissa has several new products that we’ll be using on this adorable card, but for now, I must keep them a surprise. You’ll just have to stop by the Melissa Frances booth and/or join me at the Creativity Center and make the project yourself. 🙂

I’m looking forward to seeing you at the Creativity Center for this project! Without giving too much away, I will say there might be some fun water coloring techniques that I know you will enjoy. So stop by and join the fun; I’ll even have a fun souvenir button waiting for you.

Want2Scrap

For all my scrappy friends, we will be completing this adorable layout sponsored by Want2Scrap. On the outside chance that you aren’t familiar with Want2Scrap, they are most known for their amazing bling, their unique must have chipboard albums and embellishments and of course, their overlays which come in both 12X12 and 6X6. Overlays are a beautiful thing; they’re like the instant gratification of scrapbooking. We’ve all done those 3-hour layouts and that’s ok but sometimes you don’t have three hours to spare. My solution is to stock up on your favorite overlays and now you can complete a gorgeous layout in no time. The most difficult decision you will have to make is which ones to purchase – Want2Scrap has over 300 perfectly detailed overlays so there really is something for everyone.

Want2Scrap 12x12 Layout

You asked for a 12X12″ Disney-themed layout and Want2Scrap delivered! I hope you’ll join us for this free make & take; you’re going to love how quickly it comes together. See you at the show!

One Sheet Pan Shrimp Fajitas

Would you believe this delicious meal can be on the table in under 1/2 an hour? You know what that means – a happy family and more crafting time for you! If you have a seriously hungry bunch you can add some rice and beans. I love those kits at Costco, they come with two pouches of rice and two pouches of refried beans and they only take about five minutes to heat up in the microwave so you’re still done in about 30 minutes.

Click here and I will be happy to take you over to the amazing food and craft blog No. 2 Pencil, where you’ll find a plethora of amazing recipes and fun craft ideas. Hugs to Melissa for sharing this tasty dish.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing week ahead of you. I’ll see you next Sunday with another peek at what you’ll be creating at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo you’ve selected to attend.  We currently have 19 shows scheduled for this season, so it’s time to start planning that special weekend with your creative peeps. I’ll meet you in the Creativity Center so we can create something beautiful together. Hugs to all!
