Technique Spotlight with Paige Evans: Exploding Box Mini Album

Paige-technique-header

I recently taught a class in Prague and together we made exploding box mini albums! I filmed the process so you can make one, too!

This kind of album is so fun to open and flip through – all of the interactive elements, pockets, and dimension work together to make it a box of joy!
Since there is so much space you can really add on and layer the embellishments more than usual to make it chunky – I love all the lumps and bumps! 🙂
I made my album about things I love using mostly 2″ square Instagram photos.
Everything you see (except small things like staples, baker’s twine, and the journaling pen) are from my Oh My Heart collection with Pink Paislee.
I had a few extra photos so I made a pocket to store them.
Best of all, it came together FAST!
Here is the start-to-finish tutorial showing exactly how you make one of these!

I would looooooove to see if you make one; add your link in the comments below!

Paige, this is so awesome! I have a Cricut so how do I get this template. Maybe if you can give me the sizes of the different layers of papers, I’ll try to cut them out by hand!

I love this for many special occasions and trips, however, I only have an older model of the Cricut. How can I make this? Thanks.
