Valentine’s Treat Box

Hey there Stamp & Scrapbook Expo fans, Becki here. Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. I’m getting ready by creative cute little Valentines treat boxes for my kids. I made this one for my daughter using the brand now Dear Lizzy collection by American Crafts (Lovely Day). This collection is gorgeous and full of great pastel colors and elements. I started with two pieces of patterned paper and cut out the base of the box with my Silhouette using THIS cut file.

This box only has two pieces to cut out (the outside of the box and the slider portion). It’s easy to assemble with just a tape runner or even a glue stick. There is also a heart as a part of the cut file that you can use, if you’d like to. I chose to embellish my box with elements from the Lovely Day collection.

The  first layer of embellishment is the white paper doily. Then I added a large floral sticker. On top of the sticker I tied a teal ribbon around the entire box. On top of the bow I added a green button tied with floss. The finishing touch to this box is a few enamel dots and the “i love you” sentiment.

Last but certainly not least I added some chocolates to the inside of the box. With that, this cute Valentines treat box is finished. Thank you for stopping by the Weekly Scrapper blog. Have a Happy Valentine’s Day. I’ll see you again next Thursday for another edition of Inspiration Station.
