Creative Scrapbooking with 6×6 Paper Pads and Crate Paper

Hello Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here to share a layout with you. As you’re reading this I’m traveling to the Sacramento Expo. I’m SO excited to be teaching 4 workshops in Sacramento. Two of those workshops are “Creative Scrapbooking with 6×6 paper”. If you’re in the Sacramento area, I’d love to have you in my workshops! The layout I’m sharing with you today is created with the 6×6 paper pad from the Snow & Cocoa collection by Crate Paper. If you’re not familiar with that collection, it was one of my favorite things from the SPC trade show in Salt Lake City last Summer. (You can find more details about this collection HERE.)The base of this layout is a piece of white 12×12 textured cardstock. On both sides of the layout I added strips of patterned paper. These strips are all from the Snow & Cocoa 6×6 paper pads. These strips are actually just scraps that I had from another project. I trimmed those strips into thin strips of various lengths and widths. On the left side of the layout, I created four patterned paper strips. To balance the layout, I added one strip of patterned paper on the left side. When I placed the strips on the layout, I used a tiny dot of adhesive just to hold it in place until I could get to my sewing machine to stitch them in place. After stitching the strips in place I gently bent the edges of the strips up slightly to create a little bit of texture. Once I had the strips from the 6×6 paper pad in place, most of my layout was complete. I added my photo, a simple title, and my journaling to complete the layout. To add a little bit of sparkle, I added a few little gold snowflakes and chipboard pieces. I’m thrilled with how this layout came together. Creating layouts with 6×6 paper pads is SO easy and so fun! I love finding new ways to use all of those 6×6 paper pads that are sitting in a cute little basket next to my desk. Who doesn’t love using their paper crafting products to document memories. Thank you for stopping by the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog. My hope is that you’re inspired to create with your 6×6 paper pads. I’ll be back again next week with another edition of Inspiration Station. I’ll see you next Thursday. Happy scrapping friends!

Latest & Greatest Card Making with Crate Paper

Hey there Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here, to share some Christmas card ideas with you. Our show season is quickly coming to an end which means the holiday season is right around the corner. We wanted to make sure that our Latest & Greatest card making attendees had some fun Christmas products in their hands to create their 2017 holiday cards with. If you’re able to attend the Latest & Greatest card making workshop in Denver, Akron, Sacramento, or Ontario, you’ll be going home with a few products from the new Falala collection from Crate Paper. With only a few products I was able to create these two cards in a few minutes. I used a similar design for each card to make the creative process much quicker. Each card has two patterned papers and a few stickers.

My favorite part about creating this card is the sticker sentiments. Stickers make adding sentiments to cards so easy!

It’s been a while since I created my last card making video. I thought you all might enjoy watching how these two cards came together. I’m sure a lot of you are better at planning ahead and have already started creating your Christmas cards.

I’d love to know if you’ve started creating your 2017 Christmas cards and how many are you making. Let me know in the comment section below. AND if you’re in the Sacramento area or the Ontario area. We’d love to have you in our Latest & Greatest workshops. You can find all the details HERE. Thank you for stopping by today. I’ll see you again next week for another edition of Inspiration Station. Have a great week!

Latest & Greatest Card Making with Fancy Pants

Hey there Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here to share a fun card that I created with products from our Latest & Greatest Card Making workshop with Fancy Pants. I love making cards and making cards with adorable Fancy Pants products is even more fun.

To create this card, I used the Dream Big 6×6 paper pad, puffy stickers, and ephemera pack. These are all products that those who attend our Latest & Greatest Card Making workshop in Akron, Sacramento, and Ontario get to take home with them. Isn’t that awesome? This card has a LOT of dimension. Just because you’re using flat embellishments like stickers and die cuts, doesn’t mean that your card can’t have dimension. The best way to create dimension on a card is to use dimensional adhesive. I even use dimensional adhesive to adhere stickers sometimes. On this card, I used dimensional adhesive to adhere stickers, patterned paper, and die cuts.I chose “#hustle, Darling, you’ve got this” as the sentiment for this card. I thought that would be a really fun sentiment on a card for a teenager. The cute cloud and adorable bird add to the fun whimsical feel of this card.I couldn’t be happier with how this card came together. These card making products from Fancy Pants are so fun to work with. If you live near Akron, Sacramento, or Ontario. Make sure you sign up to take one (or all three) of our Latest & Greatest workshops. We’d love to have you in our workshops. Thank you for stopping by for another edition of Inspiration Station. I’ll see you again, right here, next week with a fun stamping project.
