Sundays With Lorraine

Sundays-with-Lorraine

Hello, my artsy friends, I hope all is well and that you’re enjoying a nice, relaxing weekend. I have some fun projects to share with you, so sit back and soak up the inspiration!

Happy Birthday Designed By Michelle Lupton

Do you seem to collect Tim Holtz Distress Inks? I love each and every color that is available and I know I’m not alone. Michelle achieved this beautiful, watercolor look by blending several different Distress Inks through the Hero Arts Leaf and Flourish stencil.

Distress Inks Meet Stencils

I hope you’ve been inspired to break out your Distress Inks, your favorite stencils, and have some inky fun. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how quickly this beautiful card comes together.

Treasure Box With Mini Album By Delaina Burns

This altered box is truly filled with treasure. I can’t think of anything more precious than the gift of memories. Who isn’t going to feel the love that was put into this special gift?

I highly recommend stopping by Delaina’s Blog where she has prepared a step-by-step tutorial on not only putting the box together but how to create the handmade mini album inside. There are so many fun tips and techniques that Delaina shares in her video; you don’t want to miss it.

Smile by Donna Ratcliff

Would you believe that this artsy card was made from a bit of clean up paper, several gelli prints left over from another project, a few stamp sets, and a little fussy cutting.

Smile

What a great way to use up your experimental gelli prints, scraps of this and that, and even your clean up paper. (You know you’re a real artsy paper crafter when you’re using your clean up paper! But why not – it’s too pretty to toss in the trash.) My hope for you is to be fearless when it comes to your creativity, be open to trying new techniques, but most important, have fun with your art.

DIY Dresser Transformation

This project is definitely on my Crafting Bucket List. Talk about a total transformation from boring to holy cow beautiful! It does involve breaking out a few power tools but not to worry, the end result is worth it. Would you believe that these gorgeous vintage looking tables started out as a garage sale bargain ($25 for the pair). A real trash to treasure story!

Totally Transformed Dresser

If power tools aren’t your friend, no worries, it’s ok to ask for help. Make it a group or team project. Click here and I will take you over to The Painted Hive where Kristine has prepared an amazing step-by-step tutorial. Let me know if you give this one a try; I would love to see your finished project.

PF Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps

I don’t know anyone that doesn’t love PF Chang’s Lettuce Wraps. They’re great for a light supper or a sure hit appetizer.

 Chicken Lettuce Wraps

The best part is that these delicious Chicken Lettuce Wraps can be made in 20 minutes or less. You really are going to love this recipe! It’s delicious, budget friendly, and easy on the calories, what more can we ask?! Click here and I will take you over to Chungah’s Blog, Damn Delicious so you can print out the recipe, as I know you are going to make this dish over and over again.Bon appetit!

Thanks for spending a bit of your Sunday with me; I hope you have a wonderfully creative week.
