Freebie Friday with Felicity Jane

Hey there Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here for another Freebie Friday giveaway!! Recently on a couple of my Inspiration Station blog posts I’ve featured products from Felicity Jane. So I am thrilled to tell you that Felicity Jane is this week’s Freebie Friday sponsor. You will absolutely LOVE Felicity Jane. Here’s what you need to know about Felicity Jane: Felicity Jane started just 3 years ago as a scrapbook kit club. Over the last couple of years we have added new product lines, like our new Note To Self binders & Traveler’s Notebooks, to become more of a paper boutique in addition to our monthly kits. We are a small team with a passion for making beautiful products to help you stay organized, celebrate life’s little moments and to document it all. Everyone has a story worth telling and we would be thrilled to be a small part of it! Felicity Jane will be sending one lucky winner their Zoey kit. As I mentioned, I’ve been playing with this kit (you can see what I created HERE and HERE). It is gorgeous! I know the lucky winner will have so much fun creating with this kit.

For your chance to win this amazing kit leave a comment on this post before 11:59pm EST on Thursday, September 14th, 2017. Good luck! Not only does Felicity Jane have amazing products, they have amazing designers to work with their products. Make sure you’re following Felicity Jane on social media and on their website to see what their design team is creating.

Felicity Jane’s bold, classic designs can be used in so many ways. I love the unique design on this layout. Isn’t the fringe the perfect finishing touch? The chipboard numbers along the bottom of this layout make it shine! I’m sure you’re all anxiously waiting to hear who won the one YEAR subscription to Creative Scrapbooker Magazine. I won’t make you wait any longer. Nancy, it’s your lucky day! Congratulations, please email becki@scrapbookexpo.com to claim your prize.

Video Featuring Felicity Jane Kits & Gilmore Girls

Happy Thursday my friends, it’s time for Inspiration Station with Becki Adams. Welcome! I have a fun feature for you today. Last week, I created a layout with the Felicity Jane Zoey kit. I LOVED playing with that kit for last weeks project so I decided to create another layout WITH a process video. Raise your hand if you’re a Gilmore Girls fan. I’m raising my hand, I love that show! I love to escape to Stars Hollow every once in a while. I created this layout to document my love for the Gilmore Girls. Come see this gorgeous kit and how this layout came together in this process video.

This layout came together so quickly. I love working with a kit because I can work so quickly. When I have a limited number of supplies (that all coordinate) I can put a layout together in a matter of minutes.Do you enjoy working with kits? I would love to hear what kits you enjoy creating with. Leave a comment below and tell me if you create with kits, and which kits you enjoy the most. Make sure you stop by the Felicity Jane website and check out all their amazing products. You’ll love their beautiful style! Tell them hello from the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo team. Thank you for stopping by the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog. I’ll be back again next week with some inspiration for all of my card makers. I’ll see you then 🙂

Felicity Jane & the Solar Eclipse

Hello friends, Becki here with a fun special feature for you. Felicity Jane is an awesome kit club that I know you’ll fall in love with as quickly as I have. While attending the SPC mixed media event in Salt Lake City, I met the owner of Felicity Jane. Jeana is adorable! We had a great time chatting. I loved learning about her company and drooling over her beautiful products. Recently Felicity Jane sent me a kit to play with. Today, I have two projects that I created with the, Zoey kit. This kit is absolutely gorgeous!! Not only is it beautiful, the products in the kit are high quality as well. Before we talk about the contents of the kit and what I created with the kit, I have to show you what you’ll find when you open a Felicity Jane kit. The Felicity Jane team packages each kit beautifully. Not only can you use the beautiful products to create with, you can also use the beautiful packaging as well. A few days ago, our family was able to watch the solar eclipse. I used the Zoey kit to document our family’s memories of this event. While I did use a white cardstock background, I added a LOT of color to complete the layout. At the top of the page, I added the title “solar eclipse” using the black puffy sticker alphabet. These letters are perfect and so versatile. My favorite embellishment from this kit is the large chipboard numbers. I used the chipboard numbers to create a huge date across the top of the page. I did use something from each embellishment package on this layout. Aren’t those giant sequins so cute?!?! Some of them are adhered with liquid adhesive and some of them are adhered with pop dots. I love using acetate embellishments but adhering them can be tricky. My favorite way to adhere acetate embellishments is to stitch them in place. By sewing them in place, you don’t have to worry about adhesive showing through the acetate.

When I was finished creating my “solar eclipse” layout, I wasn’t quite finished playing with the Zoey kit so I created a card. Did I mention that there is a stamp set in each Felicity Jane kit? Yes, there is a stamp set in each kit. I used the Zoey stamp set to stamp the sentiment on this card. I also added the “zoey” die cut to the front of the card. I had so much fun creating with this kit. I can’t wait to keep creating with this kit. I loved creating my first two projects. Stay tuned for many more projects with the Felicity Jane, Zoey kit. Make sure you hop on over to Felicity Jane, say hello, and order your first Felicity Jane kit. I can’t wait to see what you create with this beautiful kit! I’ll be back next week for another edition of Inspiration Station, I’ll see you then!

Mixed Media Trade Show Event Favorites (Part 2)

Hey friends, Becki here with a special edition of Inspiration Station and what’s more inspiring than brand new products??? On Tuesday, I shared a post about the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo team’s favorite new products at the Mixed Media Event in held Salt Lake City last week. (If you haven’t had a chance to read that post, you can find it HERE.) Today, I’m sharing my favorite products along with my sweet friend Roree. I’ll share Roree’s picks first 🙂

We all had such a great time in the Lawn Fawn booth. The entire team was able to take home a lot of fun Lawn Fawn projects that we made at the show. Roree fell in love with the new shadow box die. You guys, this is seriously a must have die! The possibilities are endless. We all made this cute polar bear card.

You can see how this die works in this video. The photos just don’t do it justice!

It is July but Christmas will be here before you know it. Roree loves the “A Very Merry Christmas” collection by Carta Bella Paper. She loves the bright vibrant colors combined with the vintage images and theme.

You can see this video in much closer detail on this video:

Tonic Studios made it to our top picks again with their handmade cotton paper. Roree’s favorite thing about this product is that it won’t lose it’s texture when you die cut it with a manual die cutting machine. It also has and amazing metallic finish.

Now, I have three favorites of my own. First, I have to say that it was REALLY hard to choose only three items. There were so many amazing products at this show. I did limit myself to three choices. The first thing I found that I was SO excited about was that for the first time in the history of American Crafts they are re-releasing a collection. The Snow and Cocoa collection from Crate Paper debuted in the Summer of 2016. It sold out so quickly and there were so many complaints that consumers couldn’t find the products that American Crafts decided to bring it back for another season. The patterned papers are the same, some of the embellishments are the same but they also have some brand new embellishments that will be hitting the stores in August. I missed out on this collection the first time it was on store shelves. I’m so excited to get a second chance at playing with this collection. There was a brand new manufacturer on the trade show floor for the first time. Some of you may be familiar with the Felicity Jane kit club. And if you haven’t heard of Felicity Jane, you NEED to see their products! This is their gorgeous, Kate collection. Isn’t it beautiful!?!?!? The owner of Felicity Jane is the sweetest. We loved meeting her and learning about her company. I wish all of you could have visited this booth with us. It was so elegant and well done! Last but definitely not least, the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo team deemed the Doodlebug Designs booth the happiest place on the showroom floor. They even served milk and cookies at their booth. How cute is that?!? Doodlebug is known for their amazing color palette and adorable designs. Now, they’re going to be well known for their awesome albums! I am picky about albums and I can tell you that these are the best quality albums I’ve ever seen! They come in all the signature Doodlebug colors and in two sizes (8×8 and 12×12). Just looking at the row of gorgeous albums makes me happy. I’m sure I need two or three albums in each color.

Whew, that’s it! We had an amazing time at the Mixed Media event 2017. We hope you enjoyed seeing some of our favorite products. Thank you again for stopping by the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog. I’ll see you again next week. Have a great weekend, my friends!
