I hope to bring you some inspiration so you will want to pull out your fun projects and begin to create things that will make you feel happy and accomplished.  I hope you have a warm, beautiful, relaxing, and creative fall day!

Autumn By Nathalie DeSousa

It is no secret that my favorite time of the year is fall. I love creating autumn-themed layouts and I am excited to share this beautiful layout with you.  Working with your imagination is all about creativity and using it to take something as simple as a piece of paper and turning it into a beautiful piece of art.  Nathalie wanted to portray an outdoor setting, so she recreated some foliage for her layout.  Before laying down her leaves and photos, Nathalie created a beautiful and colorful background.  As scrapbookers, we know it is all about sharing the memories and preserving the moments.  Don’t you just feel the inspiration from this layout?

There are so many different color variations you can use to make your beautiful layout.  Put your own personality into it and see what you can come up with.  Your project will be amazing and truly inspiring.  Take a minute or two and visit Living An Inspired Life; I can guarantee that you will find Nathalie’s blog very stimulating and innovative.  You will want to jump right in and start creating your very own layout.  A big thank you to Nathalie for all of your wonderful inspiration!

Autumn Splendor By Cherry Nelson

It’s hard to believe that autumn is here!  It is a beautiful season when Mother Nature gives us majestic colors and invites us to be thankful for our blessings.  Cherry used a lot of chipboard pieces from Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts and flowers to create her dimension.  As fast as the months fly by, it will soon be time to celebrate Thanksgiving, and with that in mind, I want to share this adorable card created by Cherry Nelson.

The colors and designs in this card are so perfect for fall.  All the elements match beautifully.  There are so many different color variations you can use to create your own beautiful card.  Put your own personality into it and see what you come up with.  I know your finished card will be amazing and truly inspiring.  A big thank you to Cherry for her wonderful inspiration.  You will always walk away uplifted by her talent!

Mason Jar Lid Pumpkin By Taysha Murtaugh

As most of you know, I just love Mason Jars.  One can never have too many of them!  Lately I have been using them in my scrapbook room for some of my embellishments.  With that said, I don’t really use the lids; so while surfing the internet for projects I came upon this adorable Mason Jar Lid Pumpkin.  I was so excited to share this with you!  This is such an amazing idea to re-use your rings.

Mason Jar Lid Pumpkin

The Mason Jar Lid Pumpkin will be one of your favorite pumpkin projects of all time.  It’s cute, simple, and one of the first decorations people will notice when they walk into your house.  Let me take you on over to Country Living where you will see a full video tutorial by Taysha on how easy these cute pumpkins are to make.  The longest part of the whole project is waiting for the paint to dry.  Have fun creating!

I can honestly say I have never had a dessert quite like this before.  These caramel apple cheesecake bars with streusel topping are absolutely unreal.  Each layer is heavenly, and then on top of it all, it is drizzled with a fantastic caramel.  When I found this recipe, I knew I just had to try it.  My husband has now declared these are his new favorite dessert, which means I will be making them again and most likely very soon!

Welcome back, my crafty friends!  The weather here in Utah has become chilly, and with days like today I really enjoy staying inside and crafting in my office.  I hope you will be able to spend your day creating something you’ll love.  I just love this time of year!  Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and since it’s coming soon, I thought it would be fun to share a few festive projects with you today.  I hope you will enjoy each one.  Remember, it isn’t too late to create some of your Halloween projects for the year!

Dream Chaser By Missy Whidden

Isn’t it funny how one scrap of paper can inspire an entire layout?  Are you ready to do some great things with your products?  Hopefully this layout will give you some added inspiration.  Who doesn’t love a little extra color in their world?  Even though there are a lot of beautiful details and dimension to this layout, the photo is still the first thing your eye is drawn to.  I love how Missy went around the edges of the leaves with some white gesso, and then added gold Color Shine and a few gelatos to add color around the edges.  Also notice the metallic gold machine stitching through the center of each leaf.

Dream Chaser

Missy really created a masterpiece.  Most important, remember there are no set rules when crafting, just have fun with it.  I highly recommend stopping by Little Nugget Creations where you will find a video tutorial on how Missy put her layout together.  The possibilities are endless!  Give it a try you will love the results!

Ghouls Just Want To Have Fun By Therese Dahl

Since it’s October, it’s time for some spooky fun!  You still have plenty of time to get your Halloween cards made and sent out.  This is one of those cards that will make you want to pull out some of your fun festive Halloween papers and put your creative mind to work.  This is such a fun card that really portrays the spirit of Halloween.  With Halloween coming up, what a great way to celebrate by sharing your fun Halloween cards with friends and family.

Ghols Just Want To Have Fun

Therese Dahl did such a fabulous job using the Grim Gretchen Set by Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.  The detail on this card just takes it up to another level.  Don’t you just love this ghoul?  She looks so vicious – such wonderful work by Therese!   I am sure you would like to have a list of supplies that Therese used, so click here and I will take you over to the Katten Mia blog.  A big shout out to Therese for being such an inspiration to all of you fellow paper crafters.

Look A Bit Frightened By Anna-Karin

Halloween is such a perfect opportunity to be creative.  With a little help from our crafty friend Anna-Karin, you can make some spooktacular tags to add to your yummy Halloween treats.  It is also a time when a lot of photos will be taken, so let’s get them off your phones and cameras and into an adorable Halloween mini album.  Let’s take this fun tag a step further and create a mini album out of it.  Just add a few more pages behind the tag and you will create a darling mini album.  What a great way to show off your fun and unique costumes, along with a festive celebration of Halloween.  Don’t you just love a project that can be used in several different ways?

Look A Bit Frightened

Anna-Karin used some fun techniques for her background.   She started out with a die cut tag and then added her patterned paper and brushed gesso over it. To give it a distressed look, Anna-Karin used the Slate stencil and Opague Crackle Paste. I am sure that your creative mind is spinning with all the different techniques that Anna-Karin used, so click here and I will be happy to take you over to spend some quality time with Anna-Karin and her fabulous blog Layers Of Ink.  Enjoy craftin,g my friends!

Saturdays-with-LeAnn

Welcome back to Weekly Scrapper, my dear friends.  I am so blessed to have the opportunity to share the following projects with you today.  I hope you will take some time for a bit of creative therapy.  You deserve a little “ME” time after the busy week you just put in.  Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Fall Is Here

Have you ever tried working with clear acrylic?  I encourage you to play with your supplies to add different techniques to the acrylic. Embossing and inking, alcohol resist technique, or adding your own fussy cutting and adhering to the acrylic sheet are also great possibilities.  Leah Crow fussy cut leaves out of different patterned paper and adhered them to her acrylic sheet. This is a perfect time to use up some of those scraps you’ve been saving. Add a touch of color and you will create a beautiful look on your next project.

Fall Is Here

I love how you can go from elegant to whimsical just by the different techniques and paper that you use on acrylic.  How special would it be to add a photo of you and your loved ones?  Once you bring out all of your embellishments, the magic begins!  Be sure to stop by the Clear Scraps blog so you can write down what materials Leah used to create this wonderful acrylic layout. Have fun crafting!

Foxy Blessings

I just fell in love with this adorable little guy, how about you? And what’s not to love about this reverse masking technique?  The blues really allow the little fox’s color to pop. If you are not familiar with the term “reverse masking” it involves cutting out a shape with a die-cutting machine, punches, or scissors and then using the negative of the cut shape as a mask to cover up parts of the cardstock you don’t want inked, leaving the shape revealed to stamp and sponge.

Foxy Blessings

There are so many different products you can incorporate in your projects; Embossing Powders, Gelatos, Ken Oliver’s Color Burst are just a few.  To learn more about the reverse masking technique, click here and I will lead you on over to a wonderful tutorial.  You will see step-by-step instructions of this technique.  The possibilities are endless and you are going to love it.  I hope you have been inspired to give this fun technique a try.  A big thank you to Judy Rozema for her fabulous inspiration!

Thankful

Don’t you just love it when a beautiful card comes together so quickly?  I love how Lols added depth and dimension to this card.  The different layers really add to this card, along with making the flower very showy. Just by changing up the sentiment this can be a card made for any occasion.

Thankful

What a fabulous background made using the Woodgrain Background Stamp and Pumice Stone Distress Ink.  Lols also used a dot fade stencil and embossing paste to create some texture. While the paste was still wet she sprinkled it with Vintage Platinum Distress Dust.  By using this same background you can create several totally different cards, or crank out several of the same in no time. With the holidays fast approaching, you could create a poinsettia instead of the flower to make it into a Christmas card. Now that you have an idea for your holiday cards, you can get started on them before the big rush of the season.  Let me take you over to Lorraine’s Loft so you can see all of the supplies you will need to get started.  Have fun, my creative friends!

Book Clocks

I love having things in my home that are a bit different from the norm, so when I came upon these fun book clocks I knew I had to create them.  I made a gallery using several of my favorite books for my craft room, and can I say “WOW!” My wall turned out so great!  I knew I absolutely had to share this tutorial with you.
Book Clocks

If you don’t have any books that you want to cut up, there are many flea markets or thrift stores where you can purchase these at very inexpensive prices.  You can place your clock hands anywhere on the book that you desire.  If you are doing several for one wall, I suggest creating each differently to give your wall some interest.  You can also set your clock on a table to create a fun home decor piece.  These make wonderful gifts as well.  For step-by-step instructions, I’ll take you over to Woonblog where you will be inspired by Tom and his many creations.

Pumpkin Ice Cream Sandwiches

I love, love, love pumpkin ice cream and cookies. They are some of my very favorite treats, so with the two combined life couldn’t be better.  I was so happy when I came upon this idea.  What a fun treat to serve to your family this fall.  This is a great treat that doesn’t call for a recipe and is super quick and easy to make.

Pumpkin Ice Cream Sandwiches

Make your own cookies or use store-bought cookies if you are in a hurry.  This is a dessert you could use any flavor of your favorite ice cream and cookies.  This festive fall treat will create many smiles and bring many compliments. Come with me over to Eighteen 25 to see how easy it is to make these!  I hope you enjoy every bite! 🙂

Thank you again for stopping by today.  I will see you back next Saturday with more great projects to inspire you throughout your week. I hope you will have a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Enjoy your family and friends, and create fun memories that you will forever cherish!

Hello Autumn

I want to share with you another fabulous layout using a photo as the main focus.  Elina has hand drawn, colored, and extended the branches along with leaves from her photo.  She has added some die-cut leaves to the bottom to give some texture and depth.  This brings a strong visual impact to your page.

Hello Autumn

Leaving the background white enhanced the rich autumn colors from the photo.  What an inspirational layout!  Thank you, Elina, for being such an inspiration to us.  Click here and I will be happy to take you over to Elina’s Arts & Crafts so you can take a closer look at the way she put this fabulous layout together.  Happy scrapping, my friends!

You Are In My Prayers

Recently I have had two very special friends that have been having some health issues.  When I came upon this card I instantly knew this was the perfect card to give these wonderful friends. This soft, elegant card would really warm a heart!

You Are In My Prayers

This card was created using a digital stamp by Power Poppy called Rose And Chamomile.  The beauty of a digital stamp is that you can make multiple copies, rotate, and overlap them as necessary to get the shape you desire. This card is one that you could change the sentiment and give for any occasion.  Break out your markers or even your colored pencils.  You will have so much fun creating this card with the digital image.

Wrapped Pears

With the holidays just around the corner, this beautiful dessert is one that will provide an abundance of compliments and be enjoyed by all.  These puff pastry-wrapped pears are so elegant and very easy to make.  You can serve them with chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, or even raspberry sauce; you can also simply enjoy them plain or top them with vanilla ice cream.

Wrapped Pears

We are creative in our craft rooms, so who says we can’t be creative in our kitchens as well?!  If you are looking for an exquisite dessert for your holiday planning, let me escort you over to Sugar Hero where you will be able to print out Elizabeth LaBau’s recipe.  While you are visiting her blog, be sure to check out all the other fabulous deserts as well.  I promise you will not be disappointed, and you will find yourself spending a little more time in your kitchen.  Enjoy!

Cheery Window Card with a Window Box

This cheerful card, designed by  Baune, is sure to brighten anyone’s day!

Jodi tells about how she made this card:  “My card features Window A. I started by cutting the background from the largest of the Classic Coved Rectangle Silver Stackers. I wanted a subtle pattern without a lot of color so I embossed the coved rectangle with the stunning Diamonds & Starburst XL Embossing Plate. In the corners, I tucked in lacy diecuts from the Lace Corner Deco F set to add a bit of elegant flair.

To create the window box, I cut a Square Scalloped Stacker Nesting Die. I folded the top portion down to give my “box” scalloped “trim.” I then folded in the edges and bottom to create a three-dimensional box.”
For the flowers and to fill the window box, Jodi used a variety of flower and foliage dies including:  Darling DaisiesMiniature RosesMedium Rose, andBuild a Flower #1, Olive Branches, Pine Branches, Flourish Leaf StripSmall Leaves #2.
