Wander By Amanda Baldwin

Fall is here with cool temperatures slowly creeping in the air, and Amanda shows a great way to capture that fall feeling using beautifully soft and delicate colors.  I just love the color combo along with the way that Amanda uses her printed binder chip, cut files, stickers, and beautiful, intricate doilies. This is definitely a layout that makes your heart feel warm and fuzzy.

Wander

I hope that Amanda’s work of art inspires you to step outside of your comfort zone and create something beautiful.  Are you ready to begin?  Let me escort you on over to her Happy Arty Days blog where Amanda will give you all the supplies you need to get started.  You will love the inspiration that Amanda shares, and you won’t want to miss out on any of her fabulous projects.  I highly recommend taking a minute (or more!) to visit her blog.

You Make Me Smile By Kathy Racoosin

I love to explore new trends in the crafting industry.  A new technique that I discovered, created here by Kathy Racoosin, is alternating a stamp and adding watercoloring.  The sunflower was stamped again, cut, and popped for more dimension.  Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers, so this really brought a smile to my face especially on this dreary and rainy day.  I love the way that Kathy colored them, so I say pop this card in a frame and call it a day!  Who wouldn’t love to receive this priceless and treasured creation?

You Make Me Smile

Kathy has prepared a wonderful video showing just how she created this beautiful card, along with tips and techniques on how she does some masking and stamping to create a taller sunflower for some impact on her card.  Click here and I will escort you over to The Daily Marker so you can watch her short video.  You will find all the supplies you’ll need to begin to create your own card. You will also walk away being so inspired by Kathy.  Don’t forget to check out her other amazing projects.

Village Bungalow By Sarah Vouga

With Halloween just around the corner, it is time to get out those spooky decorations.  Why spend money buying decorations when you can create some wonderful ones yourself? (And that’s so much more fun, right?)  These frightful little villages will add a spooky flare to your Halloween decor.  This is certainly a project that your children and grandchildren will love and even help with. You will be the talk of the neighborhood with these over-the-top decorations in your home.

Village Bungalow

Village Manor

These creative decorations are definitely ones that will get a second look.  What a great way to enjoy the Halloween season!  You are probably dying to know how to make these and where to get the supplies.  Click here for a video tutorial by Tim Holtz and he will give you many creative tips and techniques on how to create these.  Be sure to visit the Sizzix blog for more wonderful projects.  I promise you will be more than inspired!

Crepe Cake By Natasha K

Crepe cake recipes are exactly what they sound like, cakes made out of crepes.  And if you are a fan of crepes, then crepe cakes exist just to make you happy!  When you need to make a big impression, this scrumptious crepe cake is an easy-to-assemble dessert that is as taste-bud-pleasing as it is visually appealing.

Crepe Cake

Crepe Cake
This is the easiest 30 layer cake you’ll ever make with 15 crepes and 15 layers of cream.  Everyone will think it took you hours to prepare but it’s really very simple.  Let me take you over to Natasha’s Kitchen where you will get all the ingredients and directions to start making one for your family and friends.  This will definitely be one you will make again!
I hope your week is ending on a creative high note!  In my neck of the woods it is quite chilly so with that said, it is always fun to take some time out of the weekend and grab a hot drink, snuggle up, and take some time to be creative.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I will see you again next Saturday!
Sending warm hugs,
LeAnn

Happy Birthday By Laura Bassen

I am so excited to share a new stamp Sketchy Cities America by Simon Says Stamp.  This fun new stamp gives you the skyline of Seattle.  I have so many fond memories of Seattle, so I can’t wait to play with this stamp set.  You will also enjoy all the wonderful sentiments that comes with this set.  This is one of those cards that you could easily turn into a perfect masculine card.  Don’t you just love the color blending?  It really adds a great touch to this fabulous card.

Happy Birthday

For Laura’s beautiful card she highlighted the skyline by embossing it in clear, then blending several of the Altenew inks from their Sea Shore ink set.  This is such a magnificent way of saying Happy Birthday!  Click here and I will take you over to Laurafadora where you will be able to see a video on how Laura created this fun card.  While visiting, be sure to look at some of the other fabulous cards she has created.  Wouldn’t you love to be the one who receives this gorgeous card?

Hello Sweet Pea By Broni Holcombe

Are you ready for some more fun and inspiration?  This is one of those “wow” cards that you can create using a few different techniques along with some fun vibrant colors.  Broni really has a gift for bringing images to life with her amazing coloring skills.  This is one of those cards that make you want to jump right in and create one of your own. Are you ready to begin?  This digital image comes just like the image seen below.  You can enlarge it or shrink it down to create the size of card that you desire.

Hello Sweet Pea

Digital images are a great way to let your imagination run wild.  The best images speak for themselves.  Broni decided to watercolor these sweet pea flowers using a very casual watercoloring technique.  She used a few of her Zig Clean Color pens to fill in the background and shade the blossoms.  The coloring is so easy with a lot of different options of color.  The rest of the work is just matting it all up.  Let me escort you over to Splashes Of Watercolor where you can see the supply list needed for this card.  The cards you create are so priceless and will always be treasured by the person receiving them.

White Chocolate Blueberry Lasagna

White Chocolate Blueberry Lasagna is the perfect recipe for an easy dessert for family or friends.  It’s light, easy, and no oven required!  It is such a refreshing dessert, and can I say that it is such an eye catcher?  It is every bit as good as it looks!  Is your mouth watering yet?

White Chocolate Blueberry Lasagna

This fabulous dessert is a mixture of crushed Golden Oreo cookies, with melted butter pressed into the bottom of a pan.  It is followed by yummy cream cheese, butter, and cool whip mixture bursting with blueberries.  On top is just a simple layer of cool whip.  Vera shaved white chocolate over the top of the whip cream.  You can also use white chocolate chips.  I bet there will not be any left at the end of the day!  Click here to get this fabulous recipe.  You will be thanking me for posting this, so go ahead and give it a try!

Heritage Portrait By Delaina Burns

I am delighted today to share this beautiful layout designed by the very talented Delaina Burns.  The astonishing moments with our family are not only to be cherished, but are so very important for us to scrapbook.  I love Delaina’s layout and how she added the vintage flare to set off her old photo.

Heritage Portrait

Delaina created her beautiful page using a stenciled background along with the Artisan Powder from Prima. She also added lots of layers by mixing papers, flowers, and metals.  Don’t you just love this soft, vintage look?  All of her embellishments are a perfect match to complement her layout.  Click here and I will be happy to take you over to her blog, Delaina’s Embellished Memories, where you will find the steps to creating this page.  This is one design I am sure you will want to use again.  A big thank you to Delaina for sharing this outstanding layout with us.  Enjoy creating one of your own!

Thanks By Inge Groot

I know many of you (like me) are enjoying the shaker-card trend that is going on right now, and I hope you will be inspired to make one of your own. I would like to share this darling shaker card that was created by using the Gift Box Cover-Up-Die-namics windows.  Adding beautiful colored sequins to your card will immediately add color to your background of your card.  Step it up a notch and add a coordinating envelope to your card.  What a sweet surprise when the recipient opens the envelope to find such a fabulous card inside.

Thanks

Whether you have made dozens of shaker cards or if this is your very first, I highly recommend you stopping by the Patterned Paper blog where Inge will share the supplies needed and how she created this adorable card.  You will love how she used this window die to create a shaker card with a beautiful floral arrangement!  Thank you, Inge, for your inspiration!

Well, Hello By Cindy Lawrence

Today I would like to also share this fabulous card created with a new digital stamp set from Power Poppy called Well, Hello Dahlia.  My favorite part of this card is the fact that it is a digital file, and the best part is that you can print it as many times as you desire.

Well Hello

Digital stamps are becoming increasingly popular.  They present a stamper with a whole new range of crafting opportunities.  One of their attractions is the fact that the images can be resized, flipped to create a mirror image, or manipulated in other ways before printing it out and colored in the same way that a rubber stamped image is colored.  This gives you a range of new design opportunities.  Cindy shows us her beautiful coloring skills using Copic markers.  Click here and I would love to take you over to The Creative Closet where you can see the different colors of markers that Cindy used to create this masterpiece. Have fun creating! 🙂

Wire & Felt Flowers By Anna-Karin Evaldsson

These unique flowers are so fun to make and look great in a vase together, or just one flower on its own in a glass jar becomes a great little gift.  The flowers look very nice and decorative, and can be used for different things like gifts, napkins and many other items.  Don’t you just love the look of the twisted wire for the stems?  No need to cover them up with florist tape.  The mixed metals really step up the style.  Try making your flowers from other materials, such as printed paper, old book paper, leather, matte board, or any kind of surface that you can die cut.

Wire & Felt Flowers

So you are probably wondering how you make your wire twists, right?  There is a new tool out is called Twist & Style.  This exciting twist tool quickly and easily twists wire with other materials, including ribbon, raffia, cotton cording, plastic cording, embroidery floss, and fabric strips. The results are so amazing!  Click here to learn how to use this amazing tool. This video will show you step-by-step instructions and you will find yourself having so much fun creating with this tool.  A big thank you to Anna-Karin for another wonderful inspiration.  Have fun crafting, friends!

Coconut Lime Shortbread Cookies By Ali Ebright

You have got to try these!  If you are looking for a cookie that will make you look like a professional baker, these are the cookies for you.  Not only are they so tasty but very appealing as well.  These are full of fresh lime, coconut, and buttery flavors, and topped with a light lime glaze.  They will become one of your all-time favorites!

Coconut Lime Shortbread Cookies
You absolutely can’t go wrong with these.  I highly recommend making a double or triple batch, then you will have extras to give away or even to freeze for later.  Let me take you over to Gimme Some Oven where Ali has the recipe and ingredients for you.  With the days starting to get cooler, it is a great time to spend in your kitchen and do some baking.  Enjoy!
Thank you for sharing a bit of your Saturday with me.  I hope you have enjoyed today’s projects and you have been inspired to begin some of your own.  I am looking forward to sharing some more fun things again with you next Saturday.  Have a wonderful week ahead of you and enjoy this beautiful fall season!

Happy Spring

Saturdays-with-LeAnn

Happy Saturday, my friends!  As we create we all know that our projects will benefit future generations to come. The joy of creating something artistic is a reward we receive, and what a reward it is! In the spirit of being creative, I am excited to share some beautiful ideas to maximize your fun. May you enjoy the act of creating, along with loving the end result.

Let It Rain created by Becki Adams

This great layout showcases a special memory in such a unique way. I just love the color combination, along with adding a splash of gold against the pastel colors. This is such a striking layout!

Let It Rain

Becki used this beautiful floral patterned paper and did some fussy cutting on the flowers. Using the bold background really makes the flowers pop! Becki also added some fun stitching around the edges with her sewing machine. Adding a tag and her journaling finished off her wonderful layout. A big thank you to Becki for sharing such a fun spring layout with us! Make sure to stop by Becki’s blog for a complete listing of the supplies used in creating this lovely layout.

Class of 2015 created by Shannon White

Graduation is approaching quickly, so I wanted to share a darling shaker card that was created by Shannon White. This is one of those cute cards that could be used for any age, from preschool to college, and for a boy or a girl. The best part is that it doesn’t take that long to create, even though it looks like it did.

Class of 2015

Shannon used the new Class of Die, Shining Star Sentiments stamp set, Frame in Frame Cutting Plate, Grad Cap Dies, and Little Bits- Champagne Flute Dies from Taylored Expressions. To add some sparkle to her card she used the Wedding Sequins from Taylored Expressions. To finish her card, she stamped two different sentiments in Tuxedo Black ink. Pop on over to Enchanted Ladybug Creations to see her step-by-step instructions on how she created this darling card. Congratulations to you graduates!

Happy Spring created by Cindy Lawrence

I have shared before that Spring is my favorite time of the year. This beautiful card was created with the Lilac Time stamp set, and is such a great way to welcome spring. Lilacs remind me so much of my mom and is one of my favorite Spring flowers. This is a card that is peaceful yet cheerful at the same time.

Happy Spring

Cindy created this using a 5″ x 5″ soft pink base and layers of pale blue, white, and coordinating patterned papers from Glitz Designs Bright Side. She stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with her Copic markers.

Happy Spring

For the inside of her card she kept the pastel theme going and stamped the larger lilac image in pale pink. Cindy has such great talent; this is such a stunning card!

Book Markers created by Andrea Singarella

Do you have single earrings hanging around? You thought one day you might find the other? Let your single earring be displayed! Turn this single earring into a special bookmark gift that will be treasured forever. Remember that handmade items are not just beautiful but very special. I love to give them and I love to receive them as well.

Book Markers

Jewelry designer Andrea Singarella fashioned her single earring into a beautiful book marker. A special vintage broach or broken necklace would work as well. Take it a step further and stack up some old books and add a few in each book and create a beautiful masterpiece to set on your end table. This is such a beautiful way to display your fun jewelry pieces.

Happy Birthday Little Girl

Saturdays-with-LeAnn

Welcome back on this beautiful Saturday morning; I appreciate you stopping by today! I am so excited to share some more wonderful projects. Hope you had a nice week, and I am sure you are ready for a relaxing (and creative) weekend!

My first project to share with you today is created by the very talented Debbie Olsen. Debbie demonstrates on her blog how to create this outstanding wall décor for your home. To start this project, Debbie used the new Cosmo Cricket watercolor pre-embossed paper using either clear or gold resist. Believe it or not, all you have to do is add water. The beauty of this paper is that it comes in 8 x 8, or 12 x 12 paper pads. This is one of those WOW projects!

What Lies Within Us Wall Decor

Debbie rubbed some distress inks onto a plastic palette, then randomly painted them onto her watercolor sheet. After completing her desired look, she then embellished it with a sweet sentiment, a pretty bow, and a button. When completed you will have a masterpiece of artwork that will make a great addition to any room.  Visit Debbie on her blog Thinking Inking for your instructions on how to create this fabulous wall décor.

Who couldn’t fall in love with this gorgeous layout?  What a perfect collection to be used for either a girl or boy. I just love how the papers have that vintage feel. Cathy McGrath created this layout using Maja Design papers.

Baby Boy

Cathy has some wonderful inspiration to share with us on how she created this outstanding layout. Whether you just had a baby, or your baby is now grown up, or a grandmother like myself, pull out those precious photos and create a beautiful layout like this one. I would like to say thank you to Cathy for her inspiration and allowing us to share her beautiful creation. Do yourself a favor and stop by her blog Sew Creative; you will be very happy you did.

I fell in love with this soft, warm vintage card created by Cherry Nelson, so I just had to share it with you today. I am so inspired every time I visit her blog Cherry’s Jubilee. I love all of her details from ribbon to lace, and buttons to doilies. Cherry has an amazing way of putting together her cluster of embellishments.

Happy Birthday Little Girl

Whether your style is vintage, or simple and clean, you will be amazed how creative you can be with the supplies you have laying around in your stash. Dig into your supplies and pull out some of your favorite treasures. Don’t be afraid to mix and match whatever you have. A big thank you to Cherry for sharing this precious card with us. She is such an amazing designer!

I know many of you share the love of mason jars just as I do, so I thought that you might enjoy this adorable card designed by Laurie Schmidlin. This cheerful birthday card will for sure brighten up someone’s day. Sometimes giving a handmade card is more of a gift than the actual gift you are giving.

Birthday Wishes

This is one of those perfect stamp designs that can be adapted to fit any occasion. The mason jar can be filled with so many things. This adorable card was filled with flowers and kept very simple. I recommend visiting Laurie’s blog Just Give Me Stamps; you will truly be inspired.

Now that your crafty mind is spinning with so many fun projects to make, let’s turn those gears and go into the kitchen and create a wonderful treat for you and your family. These delicious Blueberry Lemon Pie Bars will be such a tasty treat for tonight’s dinner.

Blueberry Lemon Pie Bars

What a fun combination that you don’t see very often, blueberry and lemon. This takes a pie from the pie tin right into a baking dish. This yummy dessert will not sit around in your kitchen very long! I can guarantee it will be all gone in a day or two! Let’s pop on over to Fresh April Flours to grab this recipe. When in need for a good recipe, be sure to visit Lynn.

Hope you have a great and relaxing weekend. Always remember creativity involves in breaking out of your traditional style. Never hesitate to try something new. See you again next Saturday; thank you for your visit today!

A Bit Of Lavender

If you’re like me, you are ready to move on from all those holiday projects to something new! I discovered this beautiful card designed by the very talented Cindy Lawrence on her bog, The Creative Closet, and knew you would enjoy it.

A Bit Of Lavender Card

Don’t you just love how Cindy brought her stamped images to life using the Copic Markers below. The depth and shading she created on the bucket image are so realistic!

copic markers used on card

This beautiful card started out with a base of ivory card stock. The sweet polka dot and floral patterned papers are from Echo Park’s Documented For the Record 2 collection and the must-have stamp set is the Power Poppy Lavender stamp set (wow, there are 13 pieces to this set). Just think of all the possibilities! The oval on the front was cut using a Spellbinders Oval Die and the edges were inked with Rangers Antique Linen ink (one of my personal faves).

inside of card

I must confess, I usually don’t give the inside of my cards the love that they deserve, so this card really inspired me to pay as much attention to the inside as I do to the outside. There’s my first New Year’s resolution! It really gives the card a finished look.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope this project leaves you with a peaceful, easy feeling.
