Our next show is in Orlando, FL on May 5th-6th! Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching three “Latest & Greatest” workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, and Stamping. We have lots of great products from some awesome manufacturers in these classes, and today I am going to be working with a products from our Card Making workshop: Fancy Pants DesignsJoy Parade collection.

In class, each student will receive a Joy Parade sampler pack which includes: a 6×6 Paper Pad, Design Puffy Stickers, and Tags & Labels pack.

Using those items, I created this card:

A lot of layering went into this card and the step-by-step is pretty self-explanatory. But I do want to share how I created the tab.

I started with a 1 1/2 x 3″ strip of patterned paper from the 6×6 Paper Pad and the We R Memory KeepersTab Punch Board. (This is a tool from the Latest & Greatest: Cool Tools workshop.)

I folded the paper in half and inserted it under the Side Tabs punch.

I punched one end, then I flipped the paper over punched the other end on the small tab setting.

This is such a quick and easy way to add tabs to any project!

I layered patterned papers from the 6×6 Paper Pad, two tags and two labels from the Tags & Labels pack, decorated the tab with heart sticker from the Design Puffy Stickers pack, and added ribbon, baker’s twine, and a couple of foam Thickers to finish my sentiment.

I just love this paper collection. It is so bright and fun, and it is perfect for projects celebrating any happy occasion!

This Card Making workshop featuring Fancy Pants Designs’ Joy Parade collection will also be taught at our show in Puyallup WA. We hope you can come join us at one of these shows. We would love to see you there!

Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Make It! Monday post.

Our next show is in Milwaukee, WI on April 21st-April 22nd! Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching three “Latest & Greatest” workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, and Stamping. We have lots of great products from some awesome manufacturers in these classes, and today I am going to be working with products from our Card Making workshop: Paper House ProductionsOne Big Happy Family collection.

For this triangle gift box project, I used the 12″ Cardstock Stickers sheet, the Mom Tags 12″ Double Sided Scrapbook Paper, and the Flock Together 12″ Acetate Paper:

I cut out the triangle box using my Cricut Explore® machine, Cricut Design Space®, and the Tags, Bags, Boxes & More® cartridge (Triangle Box #M35F59). I also hand cut a triangle from the Flock Together 12″ Acetate Paper to fit behind the window in the box.

I used double-sided tape to adhere the acetate behind the window.

I then adhered the bottom flap behind the acetate window.

The remaining flap then tucks closed so the box can be opened later.

I finished by adding a sentiment from the Mom Tags 12″ Scrapbook Paper, a floral sticker from the 12″ Cardstock Stickers sheet, and ribbon bow.

A perfect little gift box for Mother’s Day or any occasion where mom is concerned. 😉

Latest & Greatest: Cool Tools with We R Memory Keepers

Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Make It! Monday post.

Our next show is in Grapevine, Texas on March 31st – April 1st! Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching three “Latest & Greatest” workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, and Stamping. We have lots of great products from some awesome manufacturers in these classes, and today I am going to be working with one from our Cool Tools workshop: We R Memory KeepersTab Punch Board.

We R Memory Keepers is the one of my go-to companies for craft tools (along with their other amazing products) and the Tab Punch Board is no exception. It is easy to use and perfect for so many types of projects. You can learn more about it HERE.

I used my Tab Punch Board to create this mini album:

First, I started with the Tab Punch board and some white cardstock.

I wanted the my mini album to be 4 x 6″ (excluding the tabs) so I cut each piece of cardstock to 6 x 9 1/2″ and scored each panel in the center.

I placed the Tab Alignment Bar in the Side Tabs position and punched the corner of my cardstock panel.

I then removed the Tab Alignment Bar, flipped the cardstock panel over, lined up the punched tab with the tab size I was creating (medium), and punched the other end.

I placed the cardstock under the Cutting Track and trimmed off the excess cardstock with the Cutter to create my tab.

To create my center tabs, I lined up the edge of the cardstock in the 6″ medium tab position (the length of my page and the size of my tab) and punched the cardstock. I flipped the paper over and repeated this step for the other side.

Then, I trimmed off the excess with the Cutter and Cutting Track.

I created two panels with side tabs on both ends that were diagonal from each other and one panel with center tabs on both sides.

I layered the panels together and punched holes along the scored lines with my Crop-A-Dile.

Then I decorated my mini album. I chose papers and stickers from Bella Blvd‘s Addison and Alex collections, a chipboard sentiment from Pink Paislee‘s Take Me Away Wild Heart Thickers pack, and some ribbon to bind it all together.

And here is a tip for decorating your tabs: I used border stickers cut into smaller strips, attached them to the tabs, then used the punch on the Tab Punch Board to trim off the excess sticker. So quick and easy!

This Cool Tools workshop featuring We R Memory Keeper’s Tab Punch Board will also be taught at our shows in Anaheim CA, Milwaukee WI, Orlando FL, and Puyallup WA. We hope you can come join us at one of these shows. We would love to see you there!

I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Latest & Greatest: Card Making with Bella Blvd

Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Make It! Monday post.

Our first show of 2017 in Pleasanton, California is over. I hope all of our Northern California guests had a great time shopping, cropping, and learning this past weekend. Now Expo staff is preparing for our next show in Grapevine, Texas on March 31st – April 1st! Will you be attending?

Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching three “Latest & Greatest” workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, and Stamping. We have lots of great products from some awesome manufacturers in these classes, and today I am going to be working with one from our Card Making workshop: Bella Blvd‘s Make Your Mark collection.

If you are able to attend the Latest & Greatest: Card Making workshop, you will receive this awesome sampler kit with the 6×8 Paper Pad, Gift Tags, and Fundamentals Sticker Sheet from the Make Your Mark collection.

It is an amazing collection with bright, vibrant colors, gold accents, and a truly unique and artistic feel.

With all of the beautiful gold accents, I decided to alter my paper to give it a little bit of shimmer. I used a solid paper from the 6×8 Paper Pad, Tonic StudiosEmbellishment Mousse in Mother of Pearl, and a coffee filter.

I just wrapped the coffee filter around my finger, dabbed it in the Embellishment Mousse, and spread it in circles around my paper panel.

It dried almost immediately and gave the paper a distress, weathered look with a metallic shimmer.

I then used it for the base of my card, adding fussy-cut patterned paper, a tag, and stickers to finish.

This Card Making workshop featuring Bella Blvd’s Make Your Mark collection will also be taught at our shows in Anaheim CA, Milwaukee WI, Orlando FL, and Puyallup WA. We hope you can come join us at one of these shows. We would love to see you there!

I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
