Stamped Friendship Card

Stamped friendship card by @jbckadams for @scrapbookexpo and @sunnystudiostamps #handmadecards #scrapbookexpo #sunnystudiostamps

Hey there Stamp and Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here, for another edition of Inspiration Station. Today I have an awesome stamped friendship card to share with you using an adorable stamp set featured in of our Latest & Greatest Stamping workshops from our friends over at Sunny Studio Stamps. I used the Friends & Family stamp set to create the card I have to share with you today. I had so much fun stamping TONS of simple flowers to create this card. Stamped friendship card by @jbckadams for @scrapbookexpo and @sunnystudiostamps #handmadecards #scrapbookexpo #sunnystudiostampsI used lots of different colored inks to stamp the flowers onto smooth white cardstock. I just used inks that were in my stash that coordinated with the patterned paper I wanted to use. I stamped each flower with the same color of ink several times. Then, I fussy cut each flower out of the white cardstock. In the center of a few of the flowers I added enamel dots in coordinating colors. Stamped friendship card by @jbckadams for @scrapbookexpo and @sunnystudiostamps #handmadecards #scrapbookexpo #sunnystudiostampsThe flowers are layered and adhered across the entire card. I wanted a huge splash of colored flowers to draw attention to the sentiment across the bottom of the card. Stamped friendship card by @jbckadams for @scrapbookexpo and @sunnystudiostamps #handmadecards #scrapbookexpo #sunnystudiostampsAfter adhering the flowers to the card front, I stamped the sentiment in a crisp black ink to finish the card. Stamped friendship card by @jbckadams for @scrapbookexpo and @sunnystudiostamps #handmadecards #scrapbookexpo #sunnystudiostampsI think you’d love to play with this stamp set too. Make sure you sign up for the Latest & Greatest stamping workshop. I know you’ll love it and you’ll have SO much fun playing with the stamps you’ll bring home from the class. You can sign up for a Latest & Greatest Workshop HERE.

Thank you for stopping by today for this stamped friendship card. I’ll see you again next week.

Latest & Greatest: Stamping with Sunny Studio Stamps

Hey everyone! Roree here with today’s Make It! Monday post.

In case you don’t already know, Stamp & Scrapbook Expo’s first show of 2017 is about to start this week in Pleasanton, California. If you are in the Northern California area and have a chance to come see us, you should. There will lots of great shopping, cropping, and learning going on!

Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be teaching three “Latest & Greatest” workshops at this show: Card Making, Cool Tools, and Stamping. We have lots of great products from some awesome manufacturers in these classes, and today I am going to be working with one from our Stamping workshop: Sunny Studio StampsFriends & Family stamp set.

With it, I created this card:

I wanted to create a little bit of “texture” on my card without adding any bulk, so I decided to stamp it on. I started with some smooth white cardstock, a scrap piece of textured cardstock, the tulip stamp from the Friends & Family stamp set, and some ink from We R Memory KeepersMini Ink Pads 6 pc set.

I inked the stamp and stamped it once onto the scrap piece of textured cardstock.

This left the impression of the cardstock texture on the stamp.

I then stamped the image onto the smooth white cardstock. It gave me the look of texture without the added dimension.

I repeated this step multiple times in two different colors to create my “textured” garden.

This Stamping Workshop featuring Sunny Studio Stamps’ Friends & Family stamps set will also be taught at our shows in Grapevine TX, Anaheim CA, Milwaukee WI, Orlando FL, and Puyallup WA. We hope you can come join us at one of these shows. We would love to see you there!

I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello everyone and happy Friday! I am very excited to tell you all about a company that is relatively new to the industry …  Sunny Studio Stamps. This company is owned by Mendi Yoshikawa and she does the designs as well. Personally, I have followed her work for years from the many design teams she is on and I love her style. When I heard that she was starting a new company, I knew I had to check it out.

Here are a few projects from her design team members featuring stamps and dies from her summer collection.

Stamped Summer Birthday Card

Stamped Birthday card by @jbckadams for @scrapbookexpo using stamps by @sunnystudios

Becki-Adams-header

Hello friends, Becki here. My favorite brand of stamps is Sunny Studio Stamps. I’ve never called myself a stamper, but Sunny Studio stamps may convince me. I’ve shared cards that I’ve created with their stamps before. (You can find my Thanksgiving stamped cards here.) Today, I have a stamped birthday card to share with you that I created using the Summer Picnic Stamp set.

Gathering supplies was easy for this project. I started by stamping a few images on a piece of watercolor paper with black stamping ink. I like to stamp on watercolor paper when I know I will be coloring the images with markers. I’ve found that I like the texture and how the markers absorb into the watercolor paper.

Coloring images in is so easy with Tombow Dual Brush Pens. They come in so many colors and have a writing tip and a brush tip. I love the brush tip. On this card, I used only the brush tip and then went over everything with the blending tip. I love how the colors blended!

Then, I cut the images out with a pair of scissors (I should have used the Summer Picnic Die set, that would have been easier 😉 ). I adhered them to a piece of patterned paper and then adhered the entire patterned paper block to a kraft card base.

I love how this card turned out. I think it’s perfect for a friend with a summer birthday.

I’d love to see your latest stamped creation, so include a link in the comments. I’ll be back again next week with another fun project!

Stamped and Paper Pieced Thank You Card

Roree-header-1500-800x192
Hey, everyone! Roree here with another Make It! Monday project. Today I am sharing a card I created by paper piecing stamped images from Sunny Studio Stamps.

roree rumph_stamped_paper pieced_thank you_card
Sunny Studio Stamps has some fun new-release stamps out right now. For my project, I used the Woo Hoo Stamps for the owl and tree limb and the Stars & Stripes Stamps for the sentiment. I also gathered together a handful of colorful cardstock and some black ink.

I stamped out the images onto the different pieces of cardstock.

I cut out the images I wanted to layer with some detail scissors.

I layered and adhered the pieces together onto a tag with the stamped sentiment.

I added a couple of black gems for the eyes and a couple of epoxy heart stickers around the sentiment. I then added the tag to a card to finish.

These stamps are so adorable and super easy to use. They are great for coloring and they have coordinating dies available, too.

I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
