Tip of the Day: Five-minute Mixed Media Flower Tag from Therm O Web

Spring is right around the corner and it is time to start creating some flowers, don’t you think? Dawn from Therm O Web shares tips for using Mixed Media Sheets to create great gifts, tags, and cards. Print a photo, apply to canvas, add embellishments, and you have a perfect gift. Dawn demonstrates how to use the Heavy Weight Sheets (that feature a fabric-like texture) and Tammy Tutterow dies from Spellbinders to create a flower that’s perfect for a tag or card. Darling!

Make sure to stop by the Therm O Web site for lots of project ideas!

Freebie Friday – Win a Stamp & Scrapbook Expo T-shirt

Freebie Friday with Jen Walker

Hello and happy Friday! I hope you have had a wonderful week. We had severe heat in Toronto this week, but it is getting better now. Our poor lawns were so green and quickly turned brown as day after day of heat continued. I am glad that the heat has broken, and the rain has watered the lawns, the vegetable gardens and our flowers. So nice to see them perk up a bit! Summer days and sitting outside make me smile.

I also LOVE seeing new scrapbook and cardmaking products so this week has been a fun one. Earlier this week, the Sierra Pacific Craft – Mixed Media event took place in Salt Lake City, Utah. While the team was checking out all the fabulous new products, they captured lots of great photos for me to share with you. Next week I will also have a bunch of in booth videos showing you all the exciting new products that will be available soon.

Enjoy this walk through the aisles … Sneak peeks here we come …

Ribbon Spool Christmas Ornament

Hey, everyone! Roree here with another Make It! Monday project. Today I am sharing a ribbon spool ornament I created using iCraft Deco Foil Foam Adhesive and Foil Transfer Sheets by Therm O Web and the Dear Santa collection by Photo Play Paper.

First, I started off with Therm O Web’s iCraft Deco Foil Foam Adhesive and Transfer Sheets.

I put one of the foam adhesive sheets on a Cricut mat and cut out a scallop circle shape from Cricut Design Space.

I was really impressed that the foam cut so clean and easy. And it didn’t mess up the blade at all.

I removed the paper from one side of the foam adhesive die cut and added it to a circle of Believe patterned paper. I then removed the paper from the top of the die cut.

I placed a foil transfer sheet over the foam adhesive die cut and went around the die cut applying a little bit of pressure.

I lifted the sheet from the die cut revealing a foil-covered foam adhesive sticker.

I added the circle to the front of an empty ribbon spool and decorated it with Dear Santa Element Stickers, a few pearls, and some ribbon.
