Saturdays With LeAnn

Mixed Media Tag Box

Welcome back, my friends, on this beautiful Saturday!  I am so happy you took the time to share some of your day with me.  Time certainly does fly by fast.  It is hard to believe that the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo show season is just around the corner.  Our first show is in Pleasanton, California on March 2nd and 3rd.  If you are close to that area, please drop by for some crafting fun.  I am looking forward to another season and hope to see many of you at our shows.  Today I want to share some wonderful projects designed by very talented crafters.  I am sure you will be filled with inspiration from their creations.

This Boy By Di Garling

Do you love to work with chipboard?  If so, this will definitely be a fun layout for you to create.  Di inspires us with her priceless photos along with using mixed media for the background and adding some fun chipboard embellishments to create the layout.  What sparks your imagination and gets you inspired?  Is it the products, the story you want to capture, or do you just go with the flow?  I get inspired from all of the above and even more!  It is always so exciting to go to the craft table and see what kind of journey is awaiting. This Boy

There is so much more to this gorgeous layout than first meets the eye.  I highly recommend stopping by Di’s Creative Space to check out all of Di’s wonderful projects.  You will get so inspired by her wonderful talent and fabulous projects.  Big hugs to Di for being such a constant inspiration to her fellow paper crafters.

Birthday Balloons By Amy Sheffer

Make it a fabulous birthday by sending out a handcrafted birthday card.  Birthdays are meant to be awe-inspiring and exciting, as it will be when the recipient receives a card as lovely as this one. It is easy, fun, and stylish!  I can’t think of anything more fun than receiving a handmade treasure through the mail.  This clean and simple card is proof that sometimes less is more.  Who wouldn’t feel the love after opening the mailbox to find this heartfelt card? Birthday Balloons

Using your imagination is all about creativity and taking something as simple as a piece of paper and creating a beautiful piece of art.  I hope you have been inspired today to take out your stamps and let your imagination run wild.  Be sure and pop on over to Pickled Paper Designs where you will see how Amy put her darling card together, along with some tips she used.  Happy crafting, my friends!

Mixed Media Tag Box By Brenda Brown

This fun project will be a great way to store all the fabulous tags you create.  It gives you the opportunity not only to store your tags but to also organize them.  I love the distressed look which gives it a great vintage feel.  Using a mix of Media Acrylic and Chalky Finish paints will give your project a look of age, wear, and tear to give you a distressed look.  Can’t you just see this sitting in your craft room and slowly filling it up with beautiful tags?  I know I am excited to create one for myself.

Mixed Media Tag Box

Brenda has done an amazing job creating this Mixed Media Tag Box.  Let me take you on over to the Deco Art Mixed Media blog where Brenda will share every step to create one for yourself.  You will find all of the products you’ll need as well.  Take some time while you are at Brenda’s blog Bumblebees And Butterflies to see many more beautiful mixed media creations.  You will certainly leave feeling very inspired!

I hope your week is ending on a creative high note!  I am not sure about you, but my neck of the woods could use a touch of warmer weather!  Today is a perfect day to take some time to be creative. Grab yourself a hot drink, a warm blanket, and take some time to color and create.  I hope you have a wonderful week ahead and look forward to having you back next Saturday.  Happy Valentine’s Day to each one of you!

Sending hugs your way,

LeAnn
