Hello, my crafty friends, and welcome back to the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog. I just returned home from the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton, California, which was our first show of the year. I’m happy to report that a fun time was had by all. It was so nice to be sharing some great projects with you in person. Even though the weather was rainy and cold, the Creativity Center was on fire! Big hugs to all my creative friends that attended the show, you are some seriously talented paper crafters, not to mention lots of fun. With St Patrick’s Day sneaking up on us, I thought you might enjoy a little holiday inspiration.
Good Luck Card By Kelly Latevola
How adorable is this St Patrick’s Day card designed by Kelly Latevola? There is so much more then first meets the eye when you look at this darling card. At first glance, it appears to be a simple stamped image, right? Kelly actually built the scene using Stamping Bella’s Irish Chicks stamp & die set and as if that wasn’t creative enough, she shares some serious coloring techniques using Copic alcohol markers. I highly recommend watching the video that Kelly prepared, you will be blown away to see all the tips and techniques that she has to share. Kelly is the queen of stamping and has been a constant inspiration to her fellow paper crafters and you’re going to love her videos.

St Patrick’s Day Greeting with a Sweet Treat
Many of you know that I am a huge Authentique fan so how could I not share this fun holiday greeting using Authentiques Shamrock collection? The different hues of green with splashes of pink and gold and the vintage images are perfect for your St Patrick’s Day cards and projects. This card is a trifold which leaves plenty of space to write a fun sentiment inside along with a pull out waterfall photo card that could be added to your planners, scrapbook page, or to have as a keepsake.

Crafty Pocket Letter by Wanda
Are you familiar with Pocket Letters? Pocket letters are a fun and creative way to send a letter. You can use a trading card plastic sleeve and make each little pocket a different scene! This is the perfect excuse to break out those scraps and miscellaneous pocket page cards and really personalize each letter. Wanda sealed each pocket closed using the Fuse Tool by We R Memory Keepers. By sealing each pocket you can create shaker elements for a fun and festive feel. I checked Amazon and you can pick up the Fuse Tool Heat Pen Starter Kit for under $15. Think of all the shaker elements you can create!
Who wouldn’t love to receive one of these adorable letters in their mailbox? Remember the good old days when we actually mailed out handwritten letters? 😉 I think I just aged myself a bit! Keep up the great job you are doing by sharing those smiles one handmade card or letter at a time. They are appreciated more than you know.
Crock Pot Corned Beef & Cabbage by The Cookie Rookie
For many people, my self-included corned beef and cabbage is something we only make once a year on St Patrick’s Day. I thought you might need an easy, tried-and-true recipe for this traditional favorite. I love the crockpot version since its as simple as dumping the ingredients in the crockpot and walking away for several hours. When you return you have a tasty dinner all in one pot. Fun cards! I have not heard of a pocket letter so that was nice to learn about and see. Yummy on the corn beef, I only make it once a year also.

Just so you konw- I still send out cards the old fashioned way. Yes postage is 50 cents plus, but I love knowing someone I love is smiling when they receive mail from me.
