Whether you have never touched a paper trimmer or you are the Queen of the Crop, Stamp & Scrapbook Expo has a workshop for you. We offer workshops for everyone from brave beginners to the most advanced paper crafters and everyone in between.
Please review the workshop description as it will have specific items that will be required for your class. These general items may also be beneficial to have on hand, although not all of the items will be used in every workshop: 12 x 12 paper trimmer, scissors, hole punch, paper piercer, distressing ink pad, and a variety of adhesives such as glue dots, liquid adhesive, tape runner, foam dots. Baby wipes are also nice for your convenience.

The fine print:
Seats in the workshop rooms are for guests who have purchased a ticket to attend that particular workshop. Only those guests who have a paid workshop ticket for that particular workshop may be in the room at the time the workshop begins. Unfortunately we do not allow any persons to stand in on or sit in the workshop rooms unless they have a paid ticket to that workshop (including children.) Babes in arms are the only exception. Missed workshops are not refundable.
You must attend the workshop to receive the workshop kit. Kits are exclusive to the workshop and are not sold outside the classroom. You may inquire with the instructor between workshops or at the end of their workshop day to request a kit. Sometimes, the kits are not relevant without the instruction in the class. Often instructors do not have kits in their booths to distribute. It is between you and the instructor to receive a kit without the actual teaching time included.

In this class we will explore and create using three great techniques to get that watercolor look in your cards. We will work with traditional Zig Gansai Tambi watercolor paints and Spectrum Aqua markers - totally different mediums that can give you a great watercolor look. We will color in stamped images and work with stamped images for some fantastic effects. Plenty of product education plus great tips and tricks will be shared and great prizes will be given. A Beginner's Guide to Calligraphy |

A lovely hand addressed card or envelope is a lost art! Add a personal touch to holiday cards, wedding invitations, or any correspondence with traditional Calligraphy. This technique based class will introduce you to Old English style Calligraphy. This is not italic, but rather the more traditional style (think newspaper mastheads). The lower case alphabet will be practiced, with like letters shown together so you can begin to master the basic skills needed to form letters. You will receive a felt tipped Calligraphy pen to keep (great for left or right handers), practice papers with guides, a set of note cards with envelopes to embellish with "thank you", and a bonus sheet of the upper case letters to try at home.

In this technique driven class you will dive into the world of Art Anthology. We will play with all of the Art Anthology products and learn how, when, and where you can and will use the products. You will end up with a 20-page journal.

It's true we are going to make an album from envelopes. You will love this technique! In class you will take 6 envelopes and make a 12 page pocket album. Once you learn how to do this you will be hooked. Mini albums can be so expensive to make but this technique is very economical and is a great base to any album project you may have. In class, you will also learn that there is more than one way to make these so the possibilities are endless. Time permitting we will start to decorate your finished album with Melissa Frances papers and embellishments. In this class you will create a gorgeous sea-themed treasure box using a Graphic 45 Book Box (4.74x3.5x2.5) with a 3-piece tag album binder ring and Art Anthology products. You will go home with a lovely box to keep your favorite by-the-sea treasures or mini photos.
What products will be highlighted: The Art Anthology products that will be showcased are Sorbet, Stone and Metal Effects, and Stencils! What will I learn or complete: You will learn a few techniques that can be incorporated into other projects. Watercoloring is a form of art that translates beautifully to card making and crafting. Be the top trendmaker in your group by learning how to watercolor. Nicole Petersen will be creating these little works of wonder along with you under a document viewer, which means it will be like sitting right next to her while learning how to add amazing depth and color to your projects. This class will take you from the very beginning of watercoloring to an intermediate level in one hour.
