This week it was 3 get well cards. Last week it was 3 birthday cards. While I love making all varieties of cards I tend to make a lot of cards that I can grab and send out at any given time to brighten someone’s day, tell them I’m thinking of them, recognize something they did, etc. Thanks for all the cute ideas above and the opportunity to win!

I always look forward to World Card Making Day. There was an art store near my house. We would have a few tables set where customers could come and make a card. Unfortunately, the store closed. I’m going to miss celebrating with other people. But I’ll definitely be making cards.

I would say Christmas is the theme I do the most. I usually make around 42 each year and no two are alike. It is so much fun and people appreciate them being hand made. I think of the person or family who it is for while creating.

It’s hard to decide which is my favorite – making scrapbooks or making cards. I think my favorite is making cards to give away.
I love that a day is set aside for card making. My sister and I are cardmakers but she lives in Massachusetts and I live in Kansas so we don’t get to be together to enjoy our hobby. But this year we will both be making cards so we will sort of be together having fun making all sorts of cards. We might even Skype while we’re making cards and even do a couple card challenges to each other.

Sounds like an awesome giveaway! I make notecard sets with map and postal themes. They are a lot of fun and those that I share them with seem to enjoy them.
This would be fabulous to win! I’ve stressed for days on what to put together for the hubby’s birthday, because I’m a newbie at this and wanted it to be just right, of course… and time was running out! No way would the go-to florals we so often use for women, do for him… so as often happens, last night I was on my way to bed at 10:00 and as I walked by my craft room, I was just pulled in… emerged 3 1/2 hours later with multicolored fingertips and a card, and dropped into bed! Thank goodness it’s a weekend! Lol Glad that stress is over! Whew!
I make many friendship cards that can be left blank on the inside to just write a short note, or I can add a birthday or some other sentiment on the inside, depending on the occasion. It’s handy to have the generic card fronts done so I can quickly customize it for a particular occasion.
I mostly make birthday card as along with the normal birthday cards for family and friends, I make a birthday card for every month the first year of any new great nephews & great nieces. So far only nephews but keeping the pink paper. I make my Christmas cards and my dad’s as well. Anniversary & Sympathy too. I would love to win as one can never have too many paper supplies.

Creating cards depends on what is going on in my life at the time. Birthdays are always a constant. However, the need for encouragement seems to grow each year. I have learned the tremendous power a card can have when received in times of need.

My favorite cards that I usually make the most is birthday cards, because these cards are personalized theme to the person I am giving the card. Next card that are my favorite to make are Christmas cards, because at the holiday time people appreciate getting card sets that they can use for the next holiday season.
I make more Birthday cards than other cards, but i love to make any kind of card. I use my circut often to make shaped cards, but sometimes have a hard time parting with those! LOL.

The cards I like to create the most are pet loss/sympathy cards. As a vet tech, it Is a privilege to be able to honor a special pet with a card to send to the owner. Creating their card while remembering all the special things about that animal helps ease the sadness of losing that special furry friend.

I enjoy surprising friends with Random acts of Cardness cards. They say they really get uplifted by the thought that someone cared enough to make and send them a card. I have a ton of premade cards in my stash so it helps me out too!!!
I make mostly blank cards so that I can personalize them for the recipient. There’s nothing like getting something in the mail that’s not a bill!
I tend to make a lot of Birthday , hank-you and Get Well cards. I also like to give my cards an extra touch by adding a stamped message on the back of the card. I guess I would have to admit that I make a ton of birthday cards, followed by get well cards. I am the sunshine person in our Corvette Club, and everyone gets a handmade birthday, anniversary and when needed, a get well or sympathy card. Lots of card making in my house!!!!!!

I love to make get well cards and encouragement cards. We have elderly ones at our church that love receiving mail. It’s a small way to bring them a smile.

My mom and I are mostly the card people in our family. We use and collect cards for almost every occasion you can possibly think of Christmas, new baby, thank yous, anniversaries… You name it we love them. The designs and Creations you have displayed here on the post are unlike any I’ve ever seen. I know we would like this prize gift because we have family in almost every state that we would love to be able to write a card to every once in awhile. Most of all your card collection and selections would give us something to look forward to something to get our minds off of other things like our medical conditions. Both me and my mother moderate medical conditions that make everyday life very very difficult good and so we tend to turn to pen paper and cards to give ourselves something better to focus on. I never knew about card making until about five months ago when I was asked to do a demo at work. I work at a craft store and was asked to demo a fuse tool. Any card you make can be turned into a full Scrapbook page! I love making cards and the personel touch you can put on each one. I love to share my cards and will take them to nursing homes so that the residents there can sent a note to someone. A lot of elderly can’t write. Card making is a simple satisfying talent I love to share and feel so good about – “Just Thinking of You! ” are my favorites. The “Make and Takes” are one of my favorite things to start off the Expo doing!
I send out “just because” cards the most. No real reason, a cute stamp, a great saying, a friend was there with an ear.
