Caroline Lau is one of the partners/owners of Maya Road. Caroline started Maya Road at the end of 2003 with her sister. After a long career as a Chemical Engineer, Caroline left her job to work on Maya Road full time over 11 years ago. Caroline’s work has been published in magazines such as Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbooks, Etc, Paper Crafts, Memory Makers and Somerset Studio. She is thrilled to be able to travel around to share with everyone her love of Maya Road products!

In addition to Maya Road, Caroline enjoys spending time with her family – David (husband) and two kids (Noah and Olivia). Caroline also enjoys soccer, yoga, cross fit, sewing, biking and running.

Have you always wanted to learn to transfer photos onto wood? Now is your chance to get it done! Come and join us for this fun technique class where we will break down the steps for transferring images onto wood. Bring your own 6 x 8″ toner photo to transfer onto a 6 x 8″ scroll pallet. We will provide a pre-prepped pallet so you can see how this technique works. This is one technique class you do not want to miss out on!

What products will be highlighted: You will learn how to transfer a toner-based photo onto a wood pallet.

What will I learn or complete: Two 6 x 8″ wood pallets. (You will practice the paper-removal technique on a pre-prepped pallet in class, and you will finish the transfer on the other pallet at home.)

What do I need to bring to class: A 6 x 8″ or larger toner-based photo (copier or laser printer) is required for transfer. Other supplies needed: Ruler, pencil, scissors, sponge, sand paper, burnisher (such as a paint brush handle or an old gift card), paint brush, craft mat, and baby wipes.

What special supplies are needed to finish this project at home: Soft gel medium and a matte acrylic sealer.

What techniques will I learn or use: You will learn how to transfer images onto a wood pallet using a toner-based photo.

Will I complete this project in class: Work at home will be needed to finish projects.
