It doesn’t take a ton of time OR supplies to create a fun mini album. Today, I am showing you how to make a small album that has pages created with just one sheet of 12×12 paper. It is big enough for small square photos (hello, Instagrams!) but small enough to tuck into your purse. And it makes an excellent fast but adorable gift!
Fancy Pants Designs Supplies:
Be You: Marbles patterned paper
Be You: Subway Art patterned paper
Be You: Daylight patterned paper
Be You: flocked transparency
Be You: Rubons
Be You: Element Stickers
Be You: Chipboard Pieces
Summer Soul: Chipboard Pieces
Chipboard Alphas
Trim
Other Supplies:
Lightweight chipboard
Black pen
Instructions:
First, you’ll need to cut your lightweight chipboard down to two 3.5’ squares. Cut two 5” squares of your cover paper and cover the chipboard. Lay a piece of trim across the center of the covers and adhere it to the chipboard with a strong adhesive.
Now we need to cut the interior pages. Use a pencil to mark horizontal and vertical lines at the 3”, 6” and 9” marks.
Accordion fold and cut down the lines as shown in the photo so the paper looks like a “W”.
Fold each square back and forth so the pages lay one on top of the other like so:
You’ll see how the folds create pages. Adhere the wrong sides together to fan the pages correctly, like so:
Adhere the front and back page flaps to the centers of each cover.
The mini book can now be tied closed with the trim and embellished with photos and other flat items!
How cute and easy is that!? Not all mini albums take hours to make. We’d love to see your mini albums using Fancy Pants Designs so don’t forget to share with us on our Facebook page. Thanks for stopping by today!
