Today’s inspiration came from a fun sketch from Sketchablities designed by Karen Gerber. How many times do we get stuck on the same layout, or every layout starts to look the same? Look how using this sketch can turn into a wonderful layout.
Using several of your favorite products can help you create your own.
Susie Bentz created this adorable layout. You can find more of her wonderful creations at My Time To Play. Susie used several products from Want2Scrap, starting with Fancy Chipboard words Summertime and Memories to create her title. Adding a shiny finish to the title she applied a layer of clear embossing powder once heated, and gave the title a pop off the page.
Adding a fun palm tree charm to the tag was a perfect embellishment for a beach theme.
Susie added the seahorse, and tiny seashell from Ocean Finds Chipboard by Want2Scrap. They were inked and heat embossed. The tiny seashell was coated with gesso, inked and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Adding some alcohol inks she heat embossed again. To give the layout a complete look Susie added a little bling. A big thank you goes out to Susie Bentz for sharing this with us.
Creativity involves in breaking out of your traditional style. Take a look at your project in a different way, and never hesitate to try something new.
