Last Christmas, my daughters and I decided to put more time and effort into making our holiday gifts beautiful – we added lots of large, handmade bows, sparkling gift tags, and all the extras. It was like taking a basic scrapbook layout from plain to special by adding attractive embellishments. We all commented on how much more fun it was to give our gifts, and I must admit that the presents under our tree were oh, so pretty! This year we’ve resolved to do the same, so I’ve been busy looking for gift wrapping ideas and found them in the Cricut Design Space. I love anything chalkboard, so these pretty chalkboard gift tags, designed by the talented Lia Griffith, really stood out to me.

I also loved these paper bows created by Lia Griffith. Although these are pictured in pastel colors, it’s easy to imagine them created with your favorite holiday patterned papers.
We’re planning a large gathering at my home in December (can I really cook food for 40 people?) and I think creating these bows for the drink straws in red and gold will add a very festive touch to my holiday dinner tables. Full instructions are available here.
