Best Day Ever

Do you go on family outings often?  Or just once in a while, or once a year?  We try to go on a big family outing like a baseball game about once a year.  And, I’ve never really thought about scrapping it, but you know, it is a worthwhile event to scrap!

Best Day Ever Jinny Newlin

Jinny Newlin of the blog, Soaring, created this page based on a challenge from The Studio to use stars, and a sketch challenge and also a color challenge from Kreative Koncepts.

Jinny says this about her page, “I started this layout by rubbing Pumice Stone Distress Ink, through a star template, onto the gray, distressed, base page.  I then stamped it, in Night of Navy ink, with more stars, before adding a number of gold rubons, including the doilies and chevron bits.  LOVE the way the latter mimics the stitching on the baseballs, which were cut, with my Cameo, from Night of Navy cardstock.  I also used my Cameo to cut a bunch of stars from vellum and, in turn, cut that vellum in the shape of a variety of sizes of circles.  That same circle template cut a number of color-coordinating frames, which were then secured, with navy-threaded, straight, machine stitches, throughout the page, before adhering a trio of Washi strips and tucking my circular pics in amidst the organized chaos.”

Next time you are at that family outing, take a few photos and make sure to print them out.

Find a challenge and scrap!  Have a wonderfully crafty day!
