Cherish Today

When using a larger photo you don’t need a lot of patterned paper for the background.  Adding a few well chosen embellishments will create the finishing touches for your layout.  This adorable layout was found on 2 Crafty Chipboard by Sarah Groen.  I would like to thank Sarah for sharing this fun layout with us.

Adding raw chipboard is great for rustic, outdoors or even beach themed pages.  Using chipboard will add interest and dimension to your layout.  Sarah added a few more photos to the bottom corner of her layout, along with a few embellishments.

Adding some fun chipboard words is such a great way to add a title to your layout.  You can add these directly onto your photo.  Just add some embossing powder onto your letters to pop them out.  Adding white blends the title into the color of the photo, and the title then becomes a subtle part of the layout and not the main focus of the page.

Using a stencil along with your favorite molding paste create arrows at the bottom of the photo.  Leave the chipboard arrows natural and add a little ink to the edges to give it a distressed look.
