This beautiful mixed media album is the perfect gift, along with a fabulous way to preserve your memories and photos. Who doesn’t love the gift of memories? Barbara used a lot of mediums such as distress paints, texture paste, and new distress stain sprays.
The focal point of the cover is this beautiful snowflake created with the Tim Holtz Layered Snowflake die and embossing folder.
The front and back of the mini album were also created using a Tim Holtz large tag. Keep in mind the variety of colors you can create with, along with using different mediums to personalize your mini album.
This is a good way to use up some of your leftover scraps. Add some fun embellishments and a few of your favorite photos.
Barbara used tags throughout the album, with her favorite snowflake being the main embellishment.
For the spine of the album Barbara pulled colored burlap through the eyelets. Once the burlap was through she simply tied it into a decorative bow. She then added some fun dangling charms to make the album look even more interesting.
Barbara added Ideaology elements to her collaged tag. It filled up that little bare spot perfectly! Here are some close-up photos so you can see all the wonderful color combinations, textures, and details.
She added some Peacock Feather Distress Paint to the metal charm, then wiped away the excess paint so the color is left only in the engraved words.
Don’t you just love the vintage feel along with the gorgeous content? The twinkle of the stars along with the beautiful Distress Glitter really make this project sparkle. There is definitely a lot of love put into this gorgeous album. What a wonderful way to document your 2014 Christmas memories!
