Finnabair introduces us to their newest Heavy Gesso in white, black, and clear, all part of their Art Basics line. These are wonderful because you get a nice, thick application. The beauty of this is also the versatility – when a thinner coat is desired, you can simply thin it down a bit with water to make it a bit more creamy.
The black Heavy Gesso is very dark pigmented so it will create a chalk effect. It acts as a primer on your projects and dries very quickly. What a great product to use on any of your projects – you are sure to be amazed at what you can create.
You are in for a treat with the brand new pastes and gels from Prima. Today you will see a sample how to use light paste, molding paste, along with three different types of transparent gels. If you love mixed media, you will be very inspired with these amazing mediums.
Art Basics 3D Gloss Gel is great for adding dimension and texture, and also wonderful to use as an adhesive and collage technique. It goes on white but dries clear and glossy. The Light Paste and Molding Paste have a opaque mat. Apply for a light, heavy, or an extra heavy texture. These products are fabulous to add to your mixed media projects.
If you are just starting to discover the Mixed Media technique, or you have mastered the art of it, you will love these new Texture Pastes from Prima. They will add so much to your projects and are wonderful to work with!
These Texture Pastes have that wonderful crackle effect in Metallic colors. And it gets even better – the Texture Paste also is available in a grain texture; Graphite, Black Sand, and White Sand, from light grain to a heavy grain.
