This adorable Egg House really got me excited for Spring and in the mood for Easter. I can’t wait to make one of these and have it sit out on a table. Can you imagine after making this what your friends will say? You will be known as the most creative person ever! Authentique did it again with their fabulous Promise Collection.
Here are a few simple instructions on how to put this together. The egg shape is part of the Cotton Tail Village Collection from SVGCuts.com.
You will start with a foundation piece that all of the smaller pieces are adhered to. For this, use the heaviest cardstock that you can find. Authentique’s papers work perfectly for projects like this!
After all of the smaller egg ’tiles’ are cut, distress the edges in a walnut ink and then glue them into place.
Work with a quick drying liquid glue, especially when it comes to all of the tabs that connect together in creating the finished product.
The bottom of the egg sits on this handy box, which is also a part of the cutting file. Trim around the top with some pretty ribbon and then add some felt flowers. On the front of the box, adhere one of the punch-out pieces from the Components Die-Cut Paper Accents sheet.
I think the little details make the project! In finishing the house, glue lengths of pink/white baker’s twine between the seams of each panel. I love how it tied everything together and hid some of the imperfect edges created when cutting.
Don’t you just love how this is almost all made from paper? You can create all three houses that are in the cutting file. Make these be the centerpiece for your Easter Dinner. Thank you to a fabulous Design Team Member of Authentique, Shellye McDaniel, for this fun Easter project.
Have a wonderful day crafting!
