Shabby Chic Vintage Lace Mini Album

One can never have too many mini albums. You know it’s true! They make the perfect gift because the offering of memories has so much meaning and will bring a smile to anyone’s face. Let’s not forget the almost-instant gratification, since you can complete a gorgeous mini album in one sitting. I’d like to send out a huge thank you to Mona Pendleton, author of the amazing blog Cupcake’s Creations, for sharing her oh-so-sweet mini album. Mona is the queen of all that is shabby chic and I know you’re going to love her vintage style.

Mona started out with some beautiful papers from the Pion Design Alma’s Sewing Room Collection along with lots of pretty vintage lace and trimmings. This is the fun part where we go through all the lace, fibers, and vintage buttons in our stash of treasures! Each page features a stitched-on image from the Pion design Alma’s Sewing Room collection. You might want to use one of the images on every other page to give room to add some of your personal photos.

The fun with this type of mini album is that we get to dive into our stash of embellishments and use pieces of this and that. Mix and match whatever makes you smile, there are no rules!

The vintage doilies are the perfect touch. Vintage marketplaces and thrift stores are a great place to find these bits of shabby chic treasure.

I like to share a tip on vintage linens. When you find them at thrift stores and they look a bit dingy, throw down a clean white sheet in the yard, squirt them with lemon juice mixed with water and let the sun do its job. It will naturally bleach the linens.

There is definitely a lot of love put into all the perfect details of this gorgeous album. Check out the little brass hanger with a piece of lace draped over. So sweet!
