Do you have an old picture frame or even an old chalk board that needs a face lift? Today’s inspiration is to create a fun shabby chic wall hanging from an old frame. This is so attractive to hang on a wall as a handmade home decor piece. Adding photos will personalize this for you. I found this very creative wall hanging on Monique’s Vintage Nest blog. I would like to say Thank You to Monique for sharing this fun home decor with us.
Monique started out by painting the outside frame in a cream color. Next she distressed it giving it an aged look around the edges. She then cut out her patterned papers to fit the centers on the two spaces.
Next Monique added some pennant die cuts and made banners on each corner.
Adding some flowers and old stamps really pulls out the flowers and stamps from her patterned paper. Last to finish her project she added some bling to give it that extra special something. Don’t be afraid to venture out and be inspired to try something a little bit different. I know you will love your end result.
Thank You for stopping by. I hope you have a very creative and fun day!
