Happy Thursday! Welcome to Inspiration Station with Becki Adams. While I was shopping for school supplies with my kids a couple of weeks ago I found this little notebook. I loved the size and the amount of pages that were in it but I didn’t love the color and pattern.
I decided to cover it with some patterned paper and some embellishments and make it my gratitude journal. The patterned paper I chose to cover the journal with is from the new DIY Home collection by Pebbles.
I put some amazing gold scalloped glitter tape along the spine of the journal (this is also from the Pebbles DIY Home collection).
“Cherish Today” is the title that I chose for my journal. Keeping a gratitude journal helps me to slow down and notice the little things that I’m grateful for throughout the day.
I chose to add the “today” portion of the title with black Thickers and the “cherish” portion with white foam Thickers.
This beautiful globe sticker is the perfect addition just above the title. (This sticker is similar to the globe die cut found in the die cut pack.)
I added a few embellishments (sequins and a tab)
When you’re creating a journal like this, here are a couple of things to keep in mind: Use a craft knife to trim the patterned paper after you adhere it to the journal. Use strong adhesive (glue dots, liquid glue), and use flatter embellishments (stickers, die cuts, sequins, decorative tapes). Have fun creating your own!
See you next week for another edition of Inspiration Station. Next week, I’ll have a scrapbook layout to share with you.
Love that you took a regular notebook and dressed it up to your liking. Great job!
