Hey, everyone! Roree here with another Make It! Monday project. Today I am sharing a quick and easy mini album created with Linnie Blooms Canvas File Folders and some 4×6 journaling cards.
I love working with fabric and I love machine stitching. So it goes without saying that I absolutely love Linnie Blooms Mixed Stitched Media Products. (All the work is already done for me!) There are tons of fun shapes that already pre-stitched. How easy and fun is that?!
I did a project a while back with the Linnie Blooms Mini Banners here. So when I recently got my hands on the Mini File Folders, I couldn’t wait to share!
For today’s project, I started off with the Mini File Folders, some 4×6 journaling cards from We R Memory Keepers, a hole punch, and some ribbon.
I centered three 4×6 journaling cards on one of the canvas file folders and punched a hole at each end of the stitched center line, going through all of the cards and the canvas file folder.
I then ran a length of ribbon through the cards and file folder,
and tied a bow on the outside, trimming the ends.
I decorated the outside cover with chipboard letters, a couple of butterflies hand-cut from patterned paper, a couple of buttons, a sticker, and an enamel dot.
The inside pages are ready for me to add photos, embellishments, and journaling.
See, quick and easy! If you have a little more time though, you can easily fancy things up. These stitched canvas shapes lend themselves well to all types of mixed media applications. Try stamping, stenciling, painting, stitching, etc. The options are almost endless. If you want some fun ideas, swing by the Linnie Blooms blog here. There are lots of great projects to be seen!
I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
