Hey, everyone! Roree here with another Make It! Monday project. Today I am sharing a gift bag I created with a rainbow of washi tape and embellishments from Queen & Co.
Just recently, I made it out to the Scrapbook Expo show in Ontario, CA and I had an absolute blast! I was able to attend quite a few workshops while I was there and one of the classes on my list was The Rainbow Connection workshop put on by Queen & Co. They manufacture some amazing washi tapes and embellishments in a wide variety of colors which made creating in the class so much fun! It totally inspired me to create my own rainbow-themed project when I returned home.
To create this project, I started with a gift bag, a panel of white cardstock, and six different colors of Trendy Tape.
I added a strip of tape at a diagonal on the white cardstock panel that was just slightly longer than the width of the panel.
Then, I wrapped the ends around the back of the panel.
I repeated this step for each color, placing the tapes next to each other in a rainbow pattern.
I pulled out my sewing machine and like-color threads and ran a stitch across each strip of tape with the coordinating thread.
After I finished with the stitching, I added buttons and rhinestones from Queen & Co. (along with a sticker, die cut sentiment, and some baker’s twine from my stash) to decorate the panel.
Then, I adhered the panel to the front of the gift back with some foam adhesive to finish.
So fun and colorful, don’t you think?
I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Love how you added stitching to the washi tape. The buttons are super cute. Thanks for sharing :0)
