Hey, everyone! Roree here with another Make It! Monday project. Today I am sharing a mixed media tag I created using Gesso and Metallic Gelatos from the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft line.

I started with a heat resistant craft mat, a heat tool, a background stamp, black solvent ink, a watercolor paper tag, Gesso, Metallic Gelatos, a paint brush, a palette knife, and a stencil.

I cut out a tag shape from watercolor paper and stamped the tag with a background stamp (Heartfelt Creations Large Elegant Word Background stamp) and black solvent ink (StazOn – Jet Black).

I covered the tag with a butterfly stencil (BoBunny Cascade Stickable Stencils) and applied Gesso with a palette knife.

I removed the stencil from the tag and let it dry completely.

Once dry, I added some color to the tag with the Metallic Gelatos, blending the colors with a paint brush and water.

After the color was blended, I uses a paper towel to remove the excess water.

I then layered on more color with the Metallic Gelatos and repeated the process.

I let the tag dry completely before decorating it.

I added a tag (Prima Garden Fable Tags & Tickets), brads (Prima Debutante Brads), and a white crinkled seam binding bow to finish.

I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
