Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started crafting: Hello everyone! I am Eva Pizarro, I’m 35 years old and live in Santiago, Chile with my husband Marco and my son Lorenzo. I started scrapbooking in 2007 while I was living in Italy and since then I haven’t stopped! I love to be able to create something beautiful and creative everyday!
Favorite thing to create: I love to create mini albums and 12 x 12″ layouts. Now that my son is a toddler he enjoys flipping through mini books and when he points at pictures and calls “Mom and Dad” my heart melts!
What do you love about this hobby? I love playing with colors and paper and having some “me” time during the day. I also love to keep my family memories and leave a part of myself in my projects’ journaling. Often my projects tell how I feel, my fears, and joys, and I love that my future generations are going to be able to get to know me better reading our history.
5 fun facts about yourself:
1. I am an engineer and before scrapbooking I never considered myself an artistic person.
2. I love to cook, especially bake, and have every possible machine and gadget available.
3. I love TV shows, since my son was born I mostly watch TV series because I am too tired for a 2 hour movie.
4. I would love to be able to do mixed media but I am TERRIBLE at it! I guess that is not my thing!
5. I LOVE chocolate and I need to eat a little piece of dark chocolate everyday!

THE SECRET TO HAVING IT ALL by Eva Pizarro
I love to include stitching and string art in my layouts and this project blends these two techniques. I used a cut file from The Cut Shoppe and backed it with different patterned papers from the Fancy Free collection. I also made holes on my cut design and stitched it with different colors. I think the combination between a straight and dashed line add lots of interest to my circle.
FAMILY IS FOREVER by Eva Pizarro
Remember I told you I can’t use mixed media techniques? Well, I tried some simple watercolor techniques on this layout and I think the result is great! I used some printable canvas to add some texture to my title. This layout inspires me to keep trying to master different techniques and never give up!
2014 by Eva Pizarro
I love this layout because of the story behind the photo: during 2012 and 2013 I lost three little girls in advanced pregnancies. In 2014 and after six months of being bedridden, I finally had the blessing to become a mother. I never wanted to take pictures of my belly (this is the only one I have) so I really wanted to use it in a layout that highlighted my feelings. I typed my journaling in a shape and used it as my title to make it the central part of my page.
THE BEST DAY by Eva Pizarro
I love the look of hand cut letters and decided to use the Alphabet Punch Boards by We R Memory Keepers to create a BIG title. I wanted my letters to be fun and colorful so I covered them with tiny strips of paper.
YOU COMPLETE ME by Eva Pizarro
For this layout I also used tiny strips of paper – I think it is the best way to use scraps of paper and you can create very interesting backgrounds with them. Because the background was already very busy I just added my picture and a few die cut and embellishments close to my photo.
