Hey, everyone! Roree here with another Make It! Monday project. Today I am sharing a banner I created using a fun new punch from We R Memory Keepers — the Link Punch from their DIY Party collection.
I recently received the Link Punch and I couldn’t wait to try it out! It has two guides to punch a hole (a straight edge and a circular edge) and a guide to punch the link shape.
To start, I placed a strip of paper all the way to the back of the punch to punch out my link shapes. (I used the Porch Swing patterned paper from Fancy Pants Designs‘ Life Is Beautiful collection.)
Because I wanted the holes on my pennants to be at the very top corners, I chose not to use the guides and I marked a line with a pencil onto the base of the punch. I inserted the tops of my pennants at that line and punched a hole on one side. Then I flipped the paper over and punched a hole on the opposite side to create two holes at the upper corners of the pennant.
I created three pennants in all.
I inserted the link shapes in the holes at the upper corners to link the pennants together and create a banner.
To finish the banner, I decorated it with paper, die cuts, and stickers from the Fancy Pants Designs’ Life Is Beautiful Fancy Floral patterned paper, Ephemera Pack, Tags Pack, and Puffy Dot Stickers pack, as well as die-cut flowers I cut from Bird Song patterned paper using my Cricut Explore® machine and the Flower Shoppe cartridge.
I added some pink bows on each end of the banner. This really is such a fun and easy way to create and connect banners!
I hope you enjoyed today’s Make It! Monday project. Thanks so much for stopping by!
