Hello friends, it’s video time! This week I have a Summer pocket page layout to share with you using the new Sunny Day collection by Elle’s Studio. I don’t know about you but I have a TON of Summer photos. Pocket pages are an easy way to get LOTS of photos in your albums.
In this video you’ll see how this pocket page comes together in just a few minutes. I like to keep my pocket pages fairly flat, but I do like to add texture and and a little bit of dimension by adding machine stitching and enamel dots.
Something fun that I did on this page is to put embellishments on the outside of the pocket. I adhered the “you are my sunshine” acrylic piece on the outside of the pocket using a strong liquid adhesive. I did this because I didn’t want to adhere such a large embellishment to my photo. Now, if someone would like to see the entire photo they can take the photo out of the pocket.
Stitching is a fun way to adhere embellishments, it’s also much less expensive to buy thread than it is to buy adhesive.
What summer memories will you be documenting? A vacation? Camping? A trip to the beach?
This summer we’ll have lots of family time to document. Thanks for stopping by the weekly scrapper blog. I’ll see you next Thursday.
