Hey there Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here, for another edition of Inspiration Station. Today, I have a fun boy layout to share with you that I created with a collection that has a spontaneous beach theme. I created this layout with the On A Whim collection by Amy Tangerine and American Crafts.
When I was gathering supplies for this layout I simply went through the On a Whim collection and pulled out anything that was green or blue. After I had a pile of all the blue/green supplies, I got started. I chose the green grid patterned paper as my background.
I also added a pop of black in the title, a few embellishments, and splatters of black ink. I wanted the black accents to coordinated with the black shirt my son is wearing in the photo.
I combined two types of letter stickers to create the title on this layout. I love combining fonts to make interesting titles. I always reach for a block font and a script font when combing fonts. By combining those two types of fonts you’re guaranteed an eye catching title.
Would you like to see how this layout came together? As a fun little bonus, I created a process video over on my YouTube channel of this layout. I’d love it if you stopped by.
Thank you for stopping by the Weekly Scrapper blog today. I’ll see you again next Thursday, happy crafting!
I love your layout. The blue/green combination is so perfect for boys. I wish someone would design a complete boys scrapbook package with blues, greens, yellows, brown, black and grey (with emblishments).
Back to your layout ….it is clean and simple.
Thank you, Beckyy! I love the blue/green combination as well. That is a great idea for a color combo for a masculine themed collection!! I have two boys so I understand how difficult it can be to find products that are boy themed.
