Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started crafting: I’m a mother, wife, scrapbooker, multiple dog owner, and happy employee working full-time in an engineering office. I found scrapbooking seven years ago when my younger daughter was born, and never left paper and scissor since then. First I fell in love with the perfect solution to use and show photographs I love to take, and write down the memories and growth of my children. Then, quite quickly scrapbooking became a passion. I searched for new techniques, tried out mixed media, read all blogs and magazines, and then the final break through was the first time I was asked to teach live classes! People wanted to know the secrets of my layering and making such a detailed and fun scrapbook pages. What an amazing thing to hear! As I love being surrounded by people, teaching scrapbooking felt like heaven! Sharing this passion all over the world is my dream, and I’m very happy to be asked to guest here in Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog. Huge honor, thank you so much Paige!

Favorite thing to create: Scrapbook layouts and mini albums. Scrapbook layouts because they are quick to create, endless possibilities, and great surface to try out new techniques, products, color combos, anything. Mini albums, because there’s nothing better than flipping through small books full of emotions and memories.

What do you love about this hobby? The fact that there are no rules. For most of us, including me, life is full of responsibilities, schedules, to do-lists, and rules to follow. Crafting releases me out of those boundaries and I’m free to do whatever makes me happy. And bright colors are great therapy, especially now during the fall and winter here in cold and gray Finland.

5 fun facts about yourself:
1. I met my husband in a middle of a lake when I was only 14 years old.
2. I wear woolen socks from late August to early June. In other words, almost always.
3. I have a paper trimmer, Big Shot, and Silhouette. Still I prefer cutting with scissors as much as possible as it’s so relaxing.
4. I’m mentally allergic to orange juice and pickles.
5. My parents met each other on the beach of the same lake that me and my husband did, only over 40 years before us.

YOU GOT THIS by Terhi Koskinen

When Paige asked me to guest here at Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog, I immediately knew what to create. A happy, colorful layout with Paige’s & Pink Paislee ‘Turn the Page’ collection, inspired by Paige herself. I wanted to have a quilt-like pattern to the background like Paige often does, but still keep my own signature style.

SO WORTH IT by Terhi Koskinen

One of the happiest moments during my scrapbooking journey was last winter when I got a privilege to guest design for the Pink Paislee blog. I created this layout to feature Paige’s & Pink Paislee ‘Oh My Heart’ collection with a small twist of mixed media.

ADORABLE by Terhi Koskinen

This one shows how much different layers can be over each other but still being visible and meaningful. And of course, I love seeing my girls laughing together!

MINI ALBUM by Terhi Koskinen

As said, I’m deeply in love with cute mini books! They might be sometimes hard and take much time, but the result is always heart melting. Holding those tassels in hand and flipping through the pages is just so exquisite.

LOVE YOU by Terhi Koskinen

Once I was painting a project with my elder daughter and there was some leftover blue paint in the palette. I randomly swiped the brush to white cardstock to get the brush cleaner, and liked how it looked! I repeated the process three times and there is was: a fun, simple, random background ready to go. Sometimes things come together almost just by themselves.

A big thank you to Terhi for sharing her new layout and several of her favorite projects with us today! Are you inspired?! I sure am!
