Hey there Stamp & Scrapbook Expo friends and fans, Becki here with another edition of Inspiration Station. If you remember, last week I share a video with you on the basics of using Thicker alignment guides. (You can find that post HERE). This week, I thought that it would be fun to create a layout using the Thicker alignment guides as templates AND to align my Thicker title. I used many of the same supplies on the layout as I did with the card that I created last week (the Little By Little collection by American Crafts and Shimelle).
I started by cutting two pieces of patterned paper into a curved shape with the large wave alignment guide. I cut both pieces with the same ruler the dark blue piece is just about an inch taller than the light blue patterned paper. By making the dark blue paper just a little bit larger than the light blue patterned paper, there is a perfect spot for my Thicker title. Once again, I reached for my large wave alignment guide so that I could get my letter stickers placed perfectly along the wave without giving it a second thought. I love how something as simple as an alignment guide can support the them behind a layout. I love having the title on a wave when the subject of the layout is bubbles. I finished embellishing this layout with a few die cuts, stickers, and enamel wood buttons. Now, if you haven’t signed up for a Latest & Greatest workshop at a show near you, you need to sign up!! You can find all the information HERE. These Thicker alignment guides are just one of the fun tools that you can take home with you from a “Cool Tools” class.
Thank you for stopping by the Weekly Scrapper blog, I’ll see you again next Thursday I’ll have a card to share with you that I know you’ll love.
Cool LO! Definitely one for my scraplift file!
