Hello my crafty friends, Lorraine here and I must say it’s quite an honor to be posting on the Inspiration Station day of the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo blog! I’ll be sharing a gift bag I created using BoBunny’s “Stay Awhile” Collection and you’ll see how perfect it is for the coffee lovers in your life. I recently had the privilege of taking one of our Latest & Greatest workshops taught by the amazing Pauline (who is truly an inspiration to her fellow paper crafters) and boy, did she shower us with lots of goodies.
Bo Bunny’s Stay Awhile Collection is perfect for all our upcoming fall photos, cards, and even today’s gift bag. This fun collection offers of a soft, warm color palette, homey elements and the nostalgic flavor of Home Sweet Home, what’s not to love? If you’d like to check out the full collection, coordinating products, and even some creative inspiration, click here and I’ll take you over to Bo Bunny’s website!
Are you the type of crafter that can’t seem to throw anything away? Ok, I’m going to make a confession, I have had these kraft gift bags for well over ten years now! I purchased them from the Oriental Trading Company when my daughter was in elementary school and she is now in college. LOL!
These bags really are the perfect blank slate for your holiday gift bags. You’ll be happy to know that they still sell them at the Oriental Trading Company and for a really great price, too – the medium kraft gift bags are $5.99 for a dozen and when I was writing this post the white medium bags were on sale for $4.98. Amazing!
I used a few of the cute stickers from the same collection for the heart banner and then sandwiched two tags together and hung them from the jute handle with some twine I had in my stash.
I dove into my treasures from the Lastest and Greatest class and discovered these great pocket page cards and a sticker sheet which was perfect for the focal point. I layered several of the embellishments and even fussy cut, which I never have the patience to do, but the new Mini Snips that we received in our class kit made fussy cutting a lot less painful. 🙂
I popped up several of the embellishments that I cut out with pop dots to add a little visual interest.
If you ever have the opportunity to take one of our Latest and Greatest workshops, I highly recommend that you do. Talk about “bang for your buck”! You will receive over $80 worth of product and are sure to pick up lots of tips and techniques from our amazing instructor, Pauline. I hope you’ve been inspired to break out the goodies that you picked up at the show and create something beautiful.
I look forward to seeing you at our future shows; I’ll meet you at the Creativity Center and I’ll have your “I Created Button” waiting for you. After taking the Latest & Greatest workshop you will receive your “I Learned” button and then, look at that, you are half way to receiving your free Stamp & Scrapbook Expo lanyard!
Hugs to all,
Lorraine
I have been trying to use or donate my stash which was borderline hoarding. Thank you for sharing your confession and how to move forward while being creative!
Hello Christine, we are not hoarders LOL, I like to think of as collectors of fine things and creative enough to know how to use them.
