Hello and welcome back fellow crafters. Sean here to introduce you to another cropper! Now that show season is in full swing I thought I might take a little of your time to introduce you to some of the amazing people I get to meet at each show!
I’d like to introduce you to the SUPER talented Barry!! I met Barry at the Puyallup Washington show this year and after getting to know him for a while, I was mesmerized by his talent! It’s always nice meeting another male crafter and talented card maker. Barry is from Bellevue, Washington and has been crafting and coloring as far back as he can remember. His mother would give him crayons and he would sit and color for hours and hours. Often times he didn’t even know his mother would leave and go to the grocery store & do her chores until she came back and found him still on the floor coloring! She even has a picture of him at 4 years old in the living room, crayons scattered all around with his head planted in a coloring book sound asleep, lol!!
Take a look at some of his work below and you can see that this childhood hobby turned into something pretty spectacular!
Barry finds his inspiration everywhere, other designers and even on the bus while looking a lady’s handbag! Anything he sees can become inspiration for his next project as his mind is always in creative mode. Some of his favorite brands are CC Designs, A Day for Daisies, Copic markers and he can always tell when he sees paper by Stephen Duncan with Carta Bella with his color and whimsical vintage feel. His dream crop table would include Tim Holtz, Lauren from Island Outlets and Kathy Aspen from We Craft card blog.
As you can tell from the card above, he also loves origami! With this card Barry was chosen the winner at the Card Swap for most appreciated card! Isn’t it just gorgeous!?!
Barry also loves to participate in our crop theme parties and dresses up for our costume contests! He even won the contest for our Rock of Ages theme while dressed as a convicted felon who loves to ROCK! Lol!
If you ever see Barry at the Puyallup crop make sure you stop by his table and say hello, you won’t be sorry!!!
Don’t forget that even when you are not attending a Stamp & Scrapbook Expo, you can always join us online.

See you in the crop!!
Barry looks like a fun person to hang with. Very talented person. I just loved the origami card he made. It’s no wonder it received the most appreciated. You ROCK Barry!!!! Thanks Sean for showing us Barry’s talents.
Gorgeous! I especially like the card. Thanks for sharing Barry’s talents with us!
I don’t live in Washington, but if I did I would want Barry to teach a class on how to use the Copic pens. Ever thought about asking him to teach and spread his coloring skills to others?
I especially like the Asian origami lady.
Ah nice! Thanks for telling us about Barry!
Beautiful work. Lovely coloring skills. Wish I was there to have fun with him and everyone else.
