I’m Beth – proud military wife, great dane mama, Craft Expert on the Home Shopping Network, DIYer, and luckiest girl in the world to be able to play with paper and glue for a living.
My journey here wasn’t quite what you’d expect! I was a social worker for many years, specializing in early intervention for gang members. It was my life’s passion and when I had to stop (thank you frequent Army moves) I wasn’t sure where my path would take me. Through a series of incredible events I started working for a small company in the craft industry, which led me to Xyron, which led me to the HSN. And the rest is history!
I’m proud to work with companies like Cricut, Diamond Press, Anna Griffin, Jillibean Soup, American Crafts and more. I am also the host of over 150 video tutorials for the Xyron YouTube channel and have taught crafting/DIY workshops around the world. Best of all – I’ve been ridiculously lucky to met hundreds of crafty people IRL (as the kids say) and am thrilled every day to see people find their creative spirit.
In our free time I’d like to say you’ll find me and my husband Don sitting on our dock in Maryland having a relaxing cup of coffee or cocktail, but in reality we alternate between working on our “side gig” – a men’s stationery company called The Paper Hatchet, and our newest hobby – pseudo parenting! We are sponsor parents for four plebes from the Naval Academy and while I regularly threaten to murder them for not recycling and yell “stop touching your sister/brother!!!” 27 times a day, we can’t imagine our lives without them.
I am THRILLED to be home (I grew up in the DC area) and teaching at the Chantilly show. I can’t wait to meet all of you!

In this class, we’ll use Jillibean Soup felt flowers and Mix the Media supplies to create a 10 x 10″ frame you will be proud to display or give as a gift. The class contains over $30.00 worth of product and we’ll have some fun door prizes to give away too!

What will I learn or complete: A home décor wall hanging.
What do I need to bring to class: Liquid adhesive.
What special supplies are needed to finish this project at home: None.
What techniques will I learn or use: You will learn how to use embellishments to create home décor products.
Will I complete this project in class: Yes it is very likely you will finish the projects in class.

Join HSN Craft Expert Beth Kingston for a class from one of her favorite companies – Jillibean Soup! In this class we will be creating five cards and a tag from the Shape Shaker program. We’ll use a variety of techniques and some fun embellishments to make unique and festive projects anyone would love to receive! Your class kit will contain over $20 worth of Jillibean Soup products, and we’ll have some great door prizes to give away. You don’t want to miss this!
What products will be highlighted: Jillibean Soup’s Shape Shaker collection, as well as Xyron adhesive machines.
What will I learn or complete: Five cards and one tag.
What do I need to bring to class: Paper trimmer, scissors, and adhesive (tape Runner and foam squares).
What special supplies are needed to finish this project at home: None.
What techniques will I learn or use: You will be learning how to create shaker cards with stamping and die-cutting techniques.
Will I complete this project in class: It is possible some people will finish the projects in class.
