Today’s post is all about using up those leftover brads that we all seem to collect from previous projects. I fell in love with this layout that I discovered on the My Mind’s Eye Blog. I’d like to send out a big thank you to the original designer Missy Whidden for sharing her adorable layout with us. What a great use of those left over brads. I highly recommend stopping by both the My Mind’s Eye blog as well as Missy’s blog Little Nugget Creations; you are sure to be inspired.
Missy started out by cutting a circle grid using her Cameo then filled in the circles with miscellaneous brads. You could also use a pre-made grid, there are plenty available. Don’t you love how Missy took the square grid than flipped it with the points up mimicking a diamond shape to coordinate with the Find Your Wings & Fly Collection by My Mind’s Eye. Those bright colors are stunning! One great thing about My Mind’s Eye collections is that they all coordinate so well together, so don’t worry about mixing & matching different lines.
Even though there is a lot going on in this layout, Missy’s perfectly placed layers really draw your attention to the adorable black & white photo. The brads create amazing texture while creating visual interest at the same time. The brads are perfect for adding a pop of color just about anywhere on your page.
I hope you have been inspired to break out your leftover brads & other embellishments & just have fun with them.
Thanks for visiting & I wish you a very creative day.
