Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started scrapbooking: I started scrapping when I was just a teenager. I loved to cut out pics from teen magazines and make scrapbooks with them and did the same with pics of me and my friends. I worked on my high school yearbook and was editor my senior year. My love has grown from stickers and shaped templates back in the day to what it is now. I scrap for the creative time it gives me and for the way it helps me to regain my sanity at the end of a crazy day taking care of my four daughters. I have been blessed to be on various manufacturer and kit club teams over the years and have been published both online and in print publications.
Favorite thing to scrap: Pics of my girls.
What do you love about scrapbooking? I love being creative and scrapping allows me to do that along with saving memories of my family.
5 fun facts about yourself:
1. I love hot chocolate.
2. We are currently in the process of an international adoption.
3. I am the second oldest of six girls and have four daughters of my own.
4. I was born in Wimbledon, England.
5. I love Gilmore Girls re-runs and cheesy Hallmark movies.
Here is the fabulous layout Becky made for her feature:
A YEAR AGO by Becky Williams
This one is to document my baby girl. She is just about ready to turn 4 years old and I can’t hardly believe how quickly the time is passing.
Here are a few more of Becky’s favorite layouts:
AWESOME by Becky Williams
This page was created for BasicGrey. I wanted to come up with a fun way to use punches on a layout and this is what I made. I simply stapled the punched shapes to thin strips of paper before mounting them on my page.
SO SWEET by Becky Williams
This page was created for a guest spot for My Mind’s Eye. I loved the soft color palette of the collection and knew it would pair well with black and white photos.
SPLASH by Becky Williams
This page was created for the Noel Mignon kit club. Because mixed media is so big in scrapbooking these days I wanted to challenge myself to use more paint and mist on my projects. This page was the result and I love it!
SMILE by Becky Williams
This layout was created for BasicGrey as part of a challenge to create a project inspired by Pinterest. I found the song lyrics in an art piece on Pinterest and decided to make that the focal point of my page. I wrote out some of the lyrics using small alpha stickers.
Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us, Becky!
