Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started crafting: I started scrapbooking in 2000 when my husband, then boyfriend, was working out of town so to keep myself busy I went along to a local scrapbooking store for a lesson and I was hooked from day one. I loved and continue to love that it allows me to celebrate my life and my family’s life through photos and stories. I am a very busy mum, I work full time as a kindergarten teacher, but I believe so passionately in memory keeping that nothing would stop me from taking photos, printing them, and creating my scrapbook pages. I am honoured to be apart of the Heidi Swapp media team. Heidi is such a mentor, inspiration, and most of all friend, that I feel blessed everyday that I get to do what I love and share it with the amazing scrapbooking community.
Favorite thing to create: I love scrapbooking pages about my boys and the big and small happenings in their lives! I don’t want to forget all the pieces to the puzzle that make up their lives!
What do you love about this hobby? I love that I am savouring my family’s memories for the future, if I don’t tell these stories, who will? I love that I have met so many amazing friends from all over the world who I can call some of my closest friends. I love that it allows me to get a little bit messy a little bit crafty and a whole lot of happy!
5 fun facts about yourself:
1. I am a kindergarten teacher by day and scrapbooker by night. I am lucky I get to be crafty all day long!
2. My favourite colour is yellow: in clothes, home decor, crafting… I am a little bit obsessed.
3. I still pinch myself everyday that I am on the Heidi Swapp media team. It really is such an honour to work along side Heidi and the rest of the girls on her team. We are all such close friends.
4. I am a very very very very messy scrapper! Yep you usually cannot see my desk or the floor when I am scrapping!
5. My favourite TV show is “This is Us”! The ending of the very first episode just blew me away and I have been hooked ever since!
OH HAPPY DAY by Kim Jeffress
Recently my family and I travelled to the US for a family holiday. We visited Hawaii, Anaheim, Las Vegas, and the Grand Canyon. One of our favourite places by far was Disneyland. Although we had been before this trip was just a little bit more special. Meeting Minnie was definitely one of the highlights. I used an image of Mickey Mouse in my Silhouette to cut the white outline and backed it into a piece of Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane pattern paper. I then filled it in with pops of colour using the cards from the new Storyline collection!
BIG KAHUNA by Kim Jeffress
I found this fun heart and palm tree cut file in the Silhouette store and thought it would be perfect for my layout about my husband and I in Hawaii. I backed it with the gorgeous paper from Crate Paper – the pinks and greens are just so tropical.
EAT DECOR by Kim Jeffress
The Heidi Swapp wooden words are perfect DIY home decor pieces. I love that with a touch of paint and sprinkle of glitter I can transfer a word to totally fit my home decor.

The recent release of the Heidi Swapp Storyline was perfect for my trip to Hawaii. I love that I can fit so many photos and therefore so many memories on a page.
TODAY by Kim Jeffress
I had to make a feature of the stunning floral design in the Magnolia Jane paper so I created a simple frame from some white cardstock. It was the perfect paper to celebrate an amazing friendship!
